    Waldo you go give an establishment a second chance...Ever? I rarely do.
    Happy to say, I have!

    My first visit soon after opening some years ago was not great, unlike myself the years have been kind to Sage cafe Erina.

    4 stars because i think the staff need to smile a little. It is important.

    So for that second chance.

    I'm a Caesar salad lover, boy have i found a Caesar Salad at Sage. Fresh flavours, anchovies, poached whole egg, prosciutto with delightful, crunchy bread croutons together with a reserved amount of dressing that allows all the flavours to shine.

    Missus decided on grilled vegetables with olive panini. Pumpkin, capsicum,eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese on fresh olive panini bread that, all combined, enchanted the taste buds. I was allowed to sample.

    Youngster had Nuggets and chips which was enjoyable though, thinks Sage could afford more nuggets and less chips, saved from her wrath by the Incredible Iced Chocolate.

    I will spill an inside tip...When ordering your meal ask for Chilli jam. I'll let Sage off the hook for how i came to know of this delightful condiment. It combines well with a variety of dishes.

    Coffee is superb, Iced chocolate gets the youngsters "Thumbs Up!" and the missus just loves the Mango smoothie...Other well known eateries could learn a lesson about the smoothie.

    Fresh flavours and atmosphere make for a really enticing experience... not the Aroma.

    I had lunch here on Sunday with my lovely girlfriend. She had one serving of panckaes and I had three chips and nuggets from the kids menu.

    I was happy with the chips and nuggets but the pancakes my grilfriend had were quite poor. $8 was paid and she got two little pancakes with a bit of honey. Quite generous - not really. but they were nice pancakes so she was happy.

    I will recommend Sage, quite a nice place to have lunch. Three and a half stars.
