    Shocking customer service. Firstly we ordered our Christmas meats from them and the delivery arrived a day late. No communication from them regarding the delay but we had to make multiple calls to ensure the delivery arrived. Secondly the order was missing the sausages that we ordered. I have emailed them but have received NO response despite numerous emails. I would advise you to use a different company.

    I've been a fan of Sam the Butcher. ... until now!! We used to love the store in Sans Souci, when they closed down we were disappointed. So we made an online order. We wanted their sausages for our sons birthday bbq. We ordered almost $50 worth and were happy to pay the delivery fee of $20. Not only did Sam the Butcher NOT deliver, but they didn't even contact us to say they wouldn't. Initially the response was, "Our driver has a bad back, can't drive for a few days!" We thought ok, but then it became obvious that they had a complete lack of respect for customers wanting their products online. So we asked for our money back. Two weeks passed with no refund and no call to update us. Again, we called several times, chasing up our money. We found out the driver never had a bad back, and it was simply, that they couldn't be bothered to deliver. I called again about my money and to express my disappointment in their service, and two workers hung up on me as I was talking!!! Oh wait, they did say that they would deliver if we bumped up the order!! So there you have it, our order of $70 wasn't good enough to warrant the 30 minute drive, even though the website says there is no minimum order and any delivery will incur a fee of $20! Way to go Sam the Butcher, you're customer service is at an all time high. That's how you build a business everybody, when you have good product, become extremely arrogant! ... Luckily my husband works for the media so consumers will find out about this...
