A gorgeous spot to sip on a cocktail! My experience at the launch of the new and improved Sandbar was fantastic! It's at the perfect location where you can finish up there after a long walk on the beach or start there before heading out into town on a Saturday night. Hang out outside on a beautiful sunny day or stay by the bar, either way you choose you are sure to love the atmosphere at Sandbar! I definately recommend checking this place out, if you've been before head back there to admire the new look!

Sandbar Beach Cafe has had an amazing facelift and I was one of the lucky few to check out its new look at the launch in January. Been the beach loving, cocktail drinking, food critic, dancing queen that I am I think I have found my new summer, heaven-sent hang out. The back deck complete with cocktail bar rolls right out on to the sand, with table settings and fire lanterns it a great place to kick back with a Mojito watch the sun set over the waves and cruze on into the night with some fine dining. The launch was set up as a cocktail party and the cafe is perfect for this sort of function, with room to mingle, creative and delicious ohorderves I can see it becoming a popular destination for private events. I personally am looking forward to trying a Sunday lunch there by the beach and I am keeping my fingers crossed it is open nice and late on those balmy summer nights to take full advantage of the prime location. No matter what the occasion I think the Sandbar will be a favourite for all ages and a breath of fresh sea air on the Melbourne scene.
