Espatada creams a neigbouring restaurant offering the same dish. Perfectly cooked sirloin with spicy red wine-based sauce was awesome. Rest of the menu is pretty adventurous also; yes the standard steaks are there but some innovative pasta and meat dishes also.

Numbers on a relatively quiet night on the Strand speak wonders for the place; its deservedly popular and although staff are limited they're very attentive.

With all the renovations going on the street at the moment, they still offer probably the best outdoor dining area available.

Could easily become the new regular haunt! Give it a go....

Had a great dinner here the other night. It was freezing cold and windy but I didn't notice it in the outside section. Fully closed in by the plastic blinds and a toasty heater made for a nice comfortable evening. I even took my jacket off!

The osso bucco was to die for as was the espatata (I only got one bite mind you as it went very quickly). The garlic loaf was very simple but more than hit the spot.

Was very busy and it took a while for out main meals to come but we were seated immediately and the waitress was very attentive offering quite a description of the osso bucco for me.

Have filled in the rating card at the restaurant - hopefully they will keep us updated of any specials they may have. Entertainment book voucher made the meal more than affordable.

    See you next time definitely!

The Sandbar is fabulous for brunch - it's great to be able to sit in a sunny spot and catch up with friends or read the news. The corn fritters are the best taste sensation and the coffee is consistently good!
