I am a business neighbour of Santo and I have regular contact with Santo and his business.
I eat there as do many many other people.
Santo serves over 10000 meals each year as dine in and the top majority of feedback is good to overwhelmed. He also does great takeaway Pizzas and Pasta.
There has been a change of cooking staff and the food now prepared by Dan and Karl and Terry the Pizza cook is first class.
I also eat at the other restaurants in the area - at Portabella and the Coffee Club and Montezumas and I find the prices are all similar and a lot cheaper than eating in town.
Santo was born in Sicily and came to Australia as a young man and has run his restaurant and takeaway in Albany Creek for over 20 years.
Santo is different as are most people who come from Sicily but he really wants his food and wine to be appreciated and to have his customers walk out full and satisfied.
I have no complaints

Recently me and my girlfriend decided to try this place as we where unable to go to the restaurant accross the street being booked out. It was Valentines day and left booking far too late, looked at the menu online and thought the prices where quite a bit on the high side so it should be an ok place to have a Valentines dinner...... Not wanting to drive too far we thought Santo's will have to do. Got there and shown our table, asked if we had been there before, we said no and was given Garlic bread without asking for it (Worst garlic bread I've ever tasted). We asked for water, it came opened and poured! We took no note of the bottle.... Turns out it was bottled water, we where not told it was not tap water. I ordered 12 oysters but by this stage I did not know why we didn't just leave. The service was absolutely rubbish!!!!!! When my oysters arrived another staff showed saying "they did not know what these little forks where for but here you go". I mean come on!! The oysters where so bland, I know what Kilpatric oysters should taste like, I have them very often. They where small, had bits of shell in them and were tasteless!! That's when I asked for the bill. The staff took forever to bring the bill only to return and say..."did we hear you right, did you want the bill" I said yes please. They spun around abruptly and yelled out accross the whole restaurant...."That's right..... They want the bill...." we where so shocked! Five minutes later...no bill. I said lets just go to the counter. At the counter another staff were taking care of our bill. They started entering our bill into the register, then came back with...."That will be $34...." I said the OYsters where 24 where do they get 34 from. "You had the garlic bread and the oysters and the water" they said....... Long story short.... I did not pay for the bread but they insisted we pay for the water. They were so angry and rude! Told me, look mate it's on the bill and I'll have to simply pay for it. Honestly! I'm so dissapointed. I am so angry at the bad service and having to pay for bottled water I did not even order. Please please don't go to this place. They are expensive and poor quality in service and food. That garlic bread was burnt and had margarine with garlic paste stirred through it. Bad!!!!!!!!! -

Utterly disappointing... I took my kids for dinner my daughter had to get our cutlery, the food was very average and way overpriced won't be going back!

"NOT IMPRESSED" My husband and I have lived in the albany creek area for the last two years and tonight we were sick of the usuals around so we thought we give Santo's Pizzeria take-away ago, much to our disappointment it was wasnt good!!!! This place is over priced for what they served.
Number one for an Italian restaurant that doesn't use real parmesan and garlic on their garlic bread. They use frozen seafood mix not even the fresh stuff you get from the supermarkets, it was rubbery and it was the shrimps were what you use in chinese fried rice and very dry and bland. They also use packet pasta I go to more effort cooking my quick spag bog !!!!!!!
The pizza was very average all my husband could taste was chilli and we love chilli dishes. It was burnt and dry hardly any sauce.
I definitely will NEVER go back and would NOT RECOMMEND !!!!!! -

VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Most over priced place - without service! $120 bill for pouring our own wine and cutting our own cake! The food took forever - charged 6 dollars a bottle of normal water not even sparkling! Should of went to others instead!

Went here today for Mother's Day lunch and we were very disappointed. Waited for about 1 hr and 20 mins for our food to come out. The place had about 6 other families there. If that's busy to them, they should've been prepared as they only take bookings for lunch apparently. The table next to us also waited an hour for their meals. Staff were friendly, though it was odd when a staff was giving us cutlery, she asked what we were going to eat. You should know, or have it written on your ordering book.
Oh and having to pay $9 for 2 bottles of water is a joke. Other restaurants serve tap water, so I don't see why they don't.
Lucky the food was nice, otherwise we would've just walked out. -

DISGUSTED with the service, utter disrespect and attitude of the owner. My partner and I very regularly dine out and have been to many a restaurant and have never in our lives have been made to feel so unwelcome in a restaurant. After we were seated at the table
we were not asked for drinks for at least 20 minutes. After we had ordered the drinks and meals the staff brought over the cutlery and was confused how to place it on the table and ended up mixing it up with my partner. After an HOUR the "meals" came out and both my partner and I looked at each other with disbelief! I ordered the lamb rack and what I was served literally looked like a kids meal, it was the size of the palm of my hand. I sliced into it and it was as tough as an old boot. Straight away I said to my partner I'm not going to eat this and she said the same. Her meal was meant to be a chicken dish and what came out looked like a burnt omelet! We have NEVER sent a meal back being unhappy with it we've always bit the bullet not wanting to cause a scene but I was not going to pay $31.00 dollars for my "lamb rack". So we called over the staff and they said they would go and get the head staff. The head staff came over and we explained why we were unhappy with the meals. they immediately demanded that we had to pay for part of the meals even though we had not even tasted the meals. I sternly disagreed that I wasn't paying a cent for the meals that we hadn't even eaten and then they got very aggravated and said they were going to CALL THE POLICE!!! There was no reasoning by them or offering any different meal choices they just got aggressive and stormed off to the phone both me and my partner were disgusted with the actions. We promptly got up, paid for our drinks and left.....disgusted. -

Delicious pizza for takeaway (thin crust so healthier than many other places). Very average for eat in, though.
