Right on glebe point road it looks really inviting on the outside since it?s also a bookstore! It?s got a really nice and relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy your cake or dish with a book in the courtyard. You couldn?t tell that it has a courtyard by just looking from the outside but it?s worth a visit with good food and vibes.

Absolutely delightful cafe, wine and tapas bar tucked away behind the book store and featuring plenty of outdoor seating in a garden style setting. Often has live music placing which suits to atmosphere perfectly.

I absolutely love this place. It feels like you're stepping into another world through a secret door at the back of this cute little bookshop. Very well hidden if you don't know about it. Such a gorgeous backyard and their food is always consistent.

This place is tucked away, easy to miss if you're strolling down Glebe Point Rd on a busy saturday. But behind the second hand book shop is a secret garden cafe. I've had a couple of misses with the food but it's never bothered me as I enjoy the calm vibe and the huge back garden. Lots of space to relax without feeling like you're unintentionally eavesdropping on the table nearby.

Was very happy to be introduced to Sappho's by a local, not sure I would have found it otherwise! Great mixture of cafe, lounge, study area and bookshop rolled into one. The coffee was great an ciabatta bread lovely for a light meal. A great quirky find in Glebe.

This is definitely not your ordinary coffee shop. It's a strange mix of book shop, cafe and after 6pm they start serving Tapas and wine. I like it very much as the whole place is nicely decorated and designed in warm colors.

I LOVE this place, it actually has an excellent selection of books and you can just grab a coffe (or spiced apple cider) and read surrounded by books it's great. THe only thing is the food is pretty expensive for what you get, but still a great place!

I feel like this is a little secret gem but it's not really so secret because it's always quite busy! At the back of the Sappho book store is a cafe, tapas and wine bar. Once you head through the little cafe into the outdoor area at the back, there is a beautiful garden that extends right back. Its just lovely. I had been to Glebe markets and was in need of retreat from the heat ...read more

Sappho offers a top quality selection of second hand books in a relaxed, ambient atmosphere. Then after you've made your choice order a coffee from the cafe and pop out the back to the sunny courtyard to start your latest read. And with new stock in every week its worth becoming a regular, even if its only for the great coffee.

Great place to pick up those second hand books. If you look hard enough, you can find these limited edition books. Be sure to walk to the back of the cafe, its got a great cafe and a backyard sitting area.
