There is always something worth seeing on at the Stables and they do discounts for under 30's, students, Monday night rush, etc. There are also many different theatre-related courses on there being run by the Griffin Theatre Co.
Nestled nosily close to the heart of Kings Cross while still hidden from the main thoroughfare of those on a raucous night out, this is an excellent performance venue for those seeking entertainment around the fabulous restaurants and bars of Bayswater Road minus the drunken karaoke/stripper fare. The theatre space itself is wonderfully intimate, probably only seating about 50 people, so as an audience member you're so close to the action that you're almost involved! You'll never have to strain to hear the actors.

The bar is quite serviceable, too - there is a fair selection of beers, bubbly and wine (though, to be honest, Hugo's award-winning pizza and cocktail bar is a stone's throw away - it's worth the wait).

A play at the Stables and then pizza at either Zachary's or Hugo's (make sure you book at either restaurant - they are chockers by 7pm on any night) is becoming a favourite night out for me with friends, but would also make a fantastic date night.
