In the 33 years of holidaying on the Gold Coast, this would be the worst place I have ever stayed. It certainly wasn't clean in any aspect. Tired and stained carpets damaged dirty walls. Br...oken tiles Dirty bath...rooms, Lights not working. Uncomfortable beds. It did have a relatively new kitchen with a fridge that would barely keep your food cold. Incredibly noisy above the intersection at night and during the day. The first experience to the outside pool on the Saturday was interesting with the in house Management aggressively yelling threats of throwing us all out from his window when my 22kg 7 year old!!! Jumped in the pool from the edge. I acknowledge he didn't read the No Jumping sign, what 7 yr old does, but before I got an opportunity to point out the "RULES" The management or the building was kind enough to YELL them at ny son out of his window for me. Day 2 a trip down to the indoor pool which was full to capacity and no seating available, so we decided to go to the outdoor pool via the Emergency Exit door which I had seen people do so the day before. Yes this was wrong and when they yelled from the pool area, I explained this and apologised for doing so and offered to bring my wife and 3 children back and we would walk around to the correct exit. I have travelled world wide with work for the last 10 years and I have never experienced anything quite like it. The humiliation and embarrasment of my whole family being spoken to in front of all the other guests like dilinquents or criminals was inexcusable. I certainly think the insult directed at my wife with a death glare from 50cm away was WAY out of line. The verbal abuse is inexcusable and the behavior utterly disgusting and unbelievable. My wife spent the rest of the holiday avoiding the reception area and pool areas for fear of being embarrassed or humiliated any further. My 3 kids (7, 10, 12) Were petrified. And of course we paid in full upfront and they offered no refund when I expressed a desire to go elsewhere. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
