The aroma when u walk past the shop!! Amazing!!! Only place in Hornsby which roasts it's own coffee making it so fresh. I asked them what coffee they use and they responded with 'we use different types of coffee every day'. I've tried them all and the best one I tired was the yergacheffe coffee from Ethiopia. Even bought a bag of coffee for myself with a bargain price of $10 for 250 grams. A Must go place for all you coffee addicts!!
As one of the only (potentially) decent cafes on the upper levels of Hornsby Westfield I wanted this to be good, but unfortunately, despite giving it 3 chances, it fails. What's worse than the very mediocre food and average coffee is the disgusting service and attitude of the management. My last visit saw me order a chicken caesar salad, only to have them tell me their lettuce had frozen. No problem, I thought, things like this happen. Instead, I ordered a chicken salad sandwich. The sandwich was nothing more than what I'd make at home and for this crappy chicken, lettuce, tomato, beetroot and carrot on what tasted like, day-old bread, they charged me $12.00. The sandwiches on the menu ranged from $7.50 - $9.00, which is reasonable I think for a cafe sandwich. A salad sandwich was $7.50 however apparently the cost of mine was due to the chicken which was "added"! After mentioning that this was an inappropriate price to charge for my sandwich (especially considering the prices of other so-called 'gourmet' sandwiches on the menu at much cheaper prices) the management responded with "well no one else has had a problem with it and I'm fine with it" and after telling them they've lost my business exclaimed, "well that's your choice and problem". It looks promising from the outside but please, don't do yourself the disservice of spending money. As much as I hate it, the food court will be better next time.
