    We moved our business to West Melbourne in 2004 and discovered the Sensible Sandwich. Since then I and various of my colleagues have been going there for lunch on an almost daily basis, as well as using their catering services for our office functions. Cathryn and her staff are tremendous! They are friendly and efficient, and they remember the names and favourite orders of many regular customers. The food is fresh, delicious and healthy, with a wide range of choices for everyone's taste at very reasonable prices. The catering menu is extensive, platters are always well presented and delivered on time; a professional operation. You are not just served when you walk into this lovely cafe, you are welcomed with a smile and a laugh! :) A great local independent business. I will keep going to the Sensible Sandwich and if you are in North and West Melbourne or anywhere near, you should too, you'll be glad you did. Thanks Cat!

    Having had laughter along side a previous lunchtime pitstop order, Sensible Sandwich left a mark to try them again. Our office held a large meeting this week and we decided to try out catering with them, leading to success! Great range and taste with the two platters, along with drinks and fruit, friendly delivery (and prompt too) PLUS amazing pricing! Cat organised the whole food shebang with professionalism and friendly banter. We will use them again, a company with heart.

    Cat at Sensible Sandwiches saved me from catering hell - she quickly quoted an awesome food package and then had the patience to put up with multiple very last minute dietary requirement changes.... great service, friendly service and good prices = a great experience for me! THANK YOU!

    I go to this gorgeous little cafe on a daily basis. The staff are more than wonderful and will make you feel right at home. Not only will they remember you on a first name basis but they will also remember your order. If it's a coffee, fresh sandwich or some home made lasagne your after... you have come to the right place. All the food is prepared fresh daily.
    Not only is it delicious and portion generous, but the prices are absolutley amazing! So next time your in North Melbourne, please have a quizz. You will not be dissappointed. :) From the #1 Fan! ox

    I have been eating here for four years. I have also ordered and eaten their catering on more boring training courses than I care to remember.

    Cathryn and the staff are fantastic, the food is fantastic, and the place is always full of regular customers. That is the real recomendation, people keep going back!

    We contacted the Sensible Sandwich with a late-breaking catering request the Monday after Spring Carnival for an event for 50 people to be held in 48 hours. Quickly and effectively Catherine was able to tailor a specialised menu to suit our outdoor venue, health-conscious group, and varied tastes. This pre-approved ordering system meant that we were also able to navigate to get incredibly low prices and amazing value for money on platters. Not only was the service speedy, but the presentation was amazing and turned our even into something very memorable. RMIT University will not hesitate to use the Sensible Sandwich again for future events.... If only for the chance to chat to the charming Catherine once more! Thank you :)

    We used Sensible Sandwich catering for our Spring Racing Carnival event on Derby Day. They were extremely helpful in ordering and very accommodating with our requested changes. But, most importantly the food was delicious and prepared beautifully. Thanks!

    Have been lunching here for years. I LOVE the meatloaf- who would have thought meatloaf could make you so happy?! But its just delicious and served on that big yummy bread it makes for a very satisfying sandwich :)

    The service is great- efficient and friendly staff- and the prices are very reasonable. Big enough to have plenty of variety in food and drink, but still a local independent business!
