It is set up like a dimly lit forest creating a very sensual and intriguing atmosphere. Apart from the lounge area and bar that offers a variety of beverages, there is also a food menu available.

Oh yeah, this place rocks! I was there Saturday night, and although I had to wait 10 minutes to get in, it was worth the wait - had an awesome night, met some amazing people and had lovely food and drinks. Even managed to snag a table in the garden...! What a night. And the buffalo wings will knock your socks off. -
What an awful experience. I waited over an hour and a half for meals with my table of 20 who had booked months in advance, we were given nothing but excuses by the management who told us that it could only be blamed on the kitchen and offered us no compensation. They refused to give us even one free glass of wine despite the fact that we had 20 people there who were celebrating a hens night. When the food finally arrived it was dry and not fresh lacking vital ingredients such as the chicken in a chicken salad. I will never return as I consider being treated that way by staff as simply unacceptable as did everybody else at my normally easy going table. Perhaps this establishment could benefit from a lesson in manners and new management6 months ago via TrueLocal for iPhone

I am a Fitzroy local and just adore this place! It gives me everything I need in life :) food (so very tasty), water (booze!) and company (friendly staff!). Different days have different vibes which I also love. Like Sat night you have to be there early so as to avoid a queue but Sunday day and during the week is so nice for a relaxed drinkie! -

Sentido Funf will please those looking for a corner to sink into as much as it will those with partying on the agenda.
A bar's name might seem, like a band trying to find a collective moniker or a debut album title, to be one of the most important matters at hand at start-up time. But the truth is, no matter what ends up on the beer coasters, punters will have their way with your venue's name. They'll shorten it, nickname it or, sometimes, just plain ignore it. So, if you were planning to have a go at Gertrude Street watering hole Sentido Funf on account of its odd-sounding name, don't worry, it's beaten you to it. Much like the Toff in Town, which had punters scoffing, "As if we'll say that name in full" upon its opening, Sentido Funf went for the offbeat name without any illusions. In short, it means "five senses". Sadly, this doesn't mean they've kitted the joint, formerly known to Gertrude and Smith barflies as Yelza, with lickable wallpaper or other synaesthetic delights but the new proprietors have done a good job in updating the space.
