    The Sicilian is a bit of an icon in Parramatta, with their comfortable rounded outdoor sofas and traditional Italian interiors. I had a pizza here last night after their scallop entree. The scallops were addictively good but I would have liked more as there were only about 5 or 6 on the plate. Pizza was a bit disappointing because the toppings were pretty standard and the crust was a bit burnt. Service was attentive and overall I had a ok night. The meals ordered by others looked very nice too (perhaps nicer).

  • My husband, two friends and I came to lunch at Sicilian restaurant Parramatta on Sunday. What a find!! Cosy and friendly, good atmosphere and super food ( specially the delicious seafood platter such a huge platter) which has gone to the top of my list for restaurant platters!! Hope we weren't to noisy tho we will differently be returning, thank you to all the staff and their absolute friendly service.
  • This afternoon I invited my friend to have a dinner at Sicilian restaurant and we ordered Pollo Bascaiola with sweet potato and mushroom sauce, it was really nice, the chicken was well cooked and the waiters were really friendly, the food tasted delicious, it was such an amazing dinner

  • My partner and I visited Sicilian's last night for our 5th anniversary,and were thoroughly disappointed on every level.

    My partner and I had frequented the restaurant regularly some years back for various events (multiple friends birthdays, dinner out with friends, our parents visiting etc.. we really did like the place and found it to be quite intoxicating back in the day. However, in our humble opinion the restaurant has certainly fallen from grace in recent years, and is a pitiful shadow of its former self.

    I ordered the pork ribs (about $43) and my partner ordered the roast lamb. (about $39) I must confess that my serving was immense - the ribs were certainly mind boggling in size. In addition, my partners roast lamb was hung vertically on a spit, so the appearance was quite enticing. However, that's where my praise ends.

    The food was disappointingly bland, even for Italian. My ribs were dry and the sauce tasted like it had been sitting around for a week in the sun. My chips (under the ribs) were only half cooked - and i didn't eat more than about 3 or 4 of my ribs in total. My partners dish was slightly better - the roast tasted o-k. Just like something you might cook on a Sunday night for the family. ie the food was food and just that. It didnt taste anything other then what you would have at home, on a regular basis, and was certainly nothing special; and absolutely not worth the $40 odd dollars we paid for it.

    The final nail in the coffin came when we were winding up the night. I asked for a glass of water with my desert, only to be served with an EXTREMELY scratched, beaten up glass. Please do not take me to be petty here in anyway. The glass looks like it has been left in the back of a Ute, and driven to Perth and back - twice!

    This certainly wouldn't have happened back in Sicilian's hey-day, and I am very sorry to say that my partner and I will never, ever, be going back again.
  • After trying their Ravioli i'm NEVER going to eat at any other restaurant again, best meal i've ever tasted.
  • Came here with a friend before a saturday night on the town - we didnt have a reservation and were a bit worried when we saw how busy it was. However, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who did her best to find us a nice table away from too many large groups so we could talk in peace. our waiter was particularly good at accommodating my gluten intolerant friend, with all pizza's and pastas available in gluten free. he also took the time and effort to point out which entrees and other mains she could eat before leaving her to her decision, and came back as soon as he saw her close the menu. The food was of a good standard, especially my lamb shanks. Very pleased with the effort put in to our meal on a busy night
  • this was such a disappointment sea food dishes supposed to be served on a hot platter were served on cold platters , children's meals to be served 1st were late irritable children starving, wrong meals served lamb ribs were served instead of rack of lamb disgusting all fat not a mouthful of meat (diabetic) steak meal fatty and cold, pasta good
    this was a family diner for 13 cost $620 people said they would have preferred to go to McDonalds never will go again also to top it off it was my 21st and i wont get this day back. :asked for childs meal 3 times 18 months old starving when it came out boiling hot had to wait another 15 minutes before eatable.this was a family 21st birthday very very disappointing grandparents paid for this evening very disappointing could have gone local for 1/10 of the price they are only pensioners, improve please
  • This review is for weekday lunch. We (2 people) sat inside and ordered 2 pizzas with complementary wine. The food was out in 10 min and the staff was very courteous, and the food was very good. They get extra points because when I asked to have onions held from one pizza, they couldn't because it was already mixed in with the ingredients, but the waitress went back to confirm. I ordered it anyway. The lady who brought out the pizza told me that the chef did his best to pull out the onions, which made me feel bad. They had no problems pulling the onions out of the other pizza. I would definitely go back. (The pizza with the onion came out very nice. The tiny chopped pieces of onion definitely enhanced the flavour, and I would get it again. I just won't ask to have it held next time and cause so much fuss.)
    • Sorry, meant to say they have no problem HOLDING onions from other pizzas, not 'pulling onions out of'.
