Siggi's Champagne and Wine bar at Brisbane's Stamford Plaza has an elegant 19th century atmosphere, complete with chandeliers and classic furnishings. Possibly the last of the fine dining restaurants in town, Siggi’s offers the complete five-star experience. Housed in a 19th-century building, with a grand mahogany staircase, arched windows and chandeliers, the restaurant is more than a special occasion spot. Alongside an accomplished a la carte menu, chef Cameron Matthews delivers tempting degustations inspired by the Mediterranean. A must-order at Siggi’s is the crepes suzette for two: prepared at your table, the crepes are infused with citrus flavours and served with vanilla bean ice cream. As you would expect, the service is impeccable, with affable Frenchman Philippe Beylot keeping a keen eye on proceedings.
