The staff at Single Origin Roasters are serious about their coffee, and they are friendly and attentive to boot. Single Origin serves light meals such as home baked muesli and sandwiches on organic sourdough bread, but the coffee remains the star attraction.

My opinion of this place is just like all the reviews before mine - Simply awesome. One of the very best places in the city to get a coffee. The staff are educated and know their stuff. -
SOR is a Surry Hills establishment, and deservedly so. It still is my favourite place for coffee in Surry Hills or even Sydney.
I loved the banana and nutella toasted sandwiches they used to have on their breakfast menu and was disappointed to see it go.
However I love that they keep reinventing the menu to keep it fresh. I had the salmon and quinoa for lunch today and was impressed. It looked and tasted great, and the salmon was cooked lightly - just the way I like it.
On a recent visit, I picked up some beans for my brother's aeropress machine. The guy recommended me some suitable beans, let me sniff them to pick out the ones I liked, and sold them to me at a really good price.
I must admit that my impression of their service was pretty low to start off with. However, in the last few visits, I was really impressed by the level of service.
I'd be excited to see them open on weekends. Somehow the SOR coffee from the cart at the weekend grower's markets isn't quite the same.1 month ago via TrueLocal for iPhone

Best muffins in town!! I used to make a detour on my way to Uni just so I could get an great coffee and an aaaamazing muffin from these guys!! This was before they had the little take away area on the side. So you'd go inside to order, and be fascinated by the huge coffee roaster going round and round near the door. Not sure if that is still there. The muffins though are out of this world. They go the extra mile and put a little dollap of some sort of tasty yoghurt on top and then a raspberry or similar on top of that. They sell out fast though so it's always a bit sad if you get there a little late and have missed out. All the other food I've seen there looks so good as well and have always wanted to go there for a sit down breaky or lunch. -

There is little not to love about the experience at Single Origin Roasters. The baristas were exceptional. They have a real love and passion for coffee and making their customers love coffee as well. They offered us some free samples of a cold, filtered coffee. I'd come here again easily. -

This is by far the best coffee in Sydney, located in a tiny side street it still gets packed and there is no surprise why. You can also eat there as well the food is actually quite nice. once you try their coffee it sets a new standard
