    We were invited to dinner here by people who were pretty excited to show off the restaurant they recommended. We sat in a dinning area a couple of steps up from the bar and had excellent service early on. The parma's were huge! and the staff were happy to upgrade the beer in the Pot n Parma deal for just a few dollars extra, which was great. Unfortunately that all turned bad when we received no further table service and waited over 30mins for a waiter to enter our dinning area to clear plates/take more drink orders. It was obvious other patrons near by were beginning to feel the same. In the end one of us went down to the bar and asked for our table to be cleared and the dessert menu - as we'd all been looking forward to the famous chocolate fondant. Finally upon receiving the desserts they did not live up to expectations - and a waiter who decided to reappear volunteered an apology if the desserts weren't great, that "the normal chef is off tonight". Not impressed, it's simple things but made the night a bit sour. They could have made much more money out of us with more drinks and return custom - they won't be getting it.

    This pub serves the largest chicken parma I have ever seen (would easily feed 3 people & the good news is they do doggy bags which you will need). Greatly improved atmosphere since the refurb. Courtyard area, new bar, pool table & sports screens.
