Sling was established in February 2007. We aspire to supply our clients with the finest drinks using the finest spirits and premium produce. Our specialty is the cocktail, with our menu boasting over 250 varieties.

At sling we believe in the art of being able to mix a great drink; not only do we pay tribute to the traditional art of drink making through "the classics", we have also invested our time into learning the modern arts through molecular mixology; which is the process of changing a drinks structure on a molecular level to create new and exciting flavour profiles. Sling is the first bar in Brisbane to incorporate this into the cocktail list.

We encourage our clients and industry professionals to ask questions, learn, and most of all enjoy great drinks

Sling is pretty cool but it's quite small. The nice area is out the back but it's often booked out. Still if you in west end it's worth a visit. Cocktails are a reasonable price.

You know, I've been to Sling several times, and had a blast each time. It was recommended to me by a friend of mine, and his advice is absolutely true...

'Don't be intimidated by the size of the list of cocktails available to you, speak with the person behind the bar and give them an idea of exactly what you feel like. They'll make you a fantastic drink that you can be assured is exactly what you wanted.

This place is dangerous for me, as I find myself wanting more and more like some kind of cocktail junkie. This has never happened to me before when cocktails were involved.

So, if you regulate your pace and moderation, not to mention your water intake this place will be heaven for you. Challenge the staff to find the flavours you seek and enjoy the magic they can create.

The outside of the Sling Lounge is a little deceiving. What appears to be a hole in the wall bar actually leads to a spacious courtyard with a refreshing greenhouse feel. Be sure to take a seat before you order a cocktail – they have 350 in the menu so you might be here for a while (it’s easiest to look them up by chapter). There’s a tapas and a la carte menu if you’re hungry as well as imported beers but honestly, who can go past a drink called the Cane Toad Cocktail?
