Terrible terrible terrible. We drove down to see the sand sculptures and thought we would go for lunch. There were 5 people at the counter and not one greeted us. The management was so rude. I will make sure that all my friends and family are aware of the bad service and average food. Lucky the view made up for this.

I love this Sofia restaurant. The view is great the serve size are huge. Great food n cuts service and I always get to take the food home every single time because we could never finish our dishes.
We finally did the pick up order of calamari and pastas, the serve size once again huge!!! And works out to be 20% cheaper than eats in.

We will continue to come and eat here for Italian dishes.

Below average food , Bad costumer service and very rude !

When it comes to food more quantity and less quality ... expected

For the first time in my life I was asked to leave a restaurant in 15 minutes because its only 2 House sitting and that they have overbooked themself in the time we were there for only hour and 15 minutes and no one ever told us when we booked and there was no signs about 2 hours sitting.

I have been to thousands of restaurant in Australia , Europe , USA and the middle east and I have never seen in my life such a rude service and rude customer service.

How rude was your shift manager he couldn't even respond to my questions.

What you have done is a new level of low hospitality I don't think I might see it again in my life.

Tried it a few times. You basically get what you pay for. Cheap quick gigantic meal. Pizza ok. Good to bring the kids too. Very noisy & could do with a facelift.

After Reading some of the other reviews - I GOT TO SAY - Lets Keep it Real...

Sofias is an 'Easy' kinda of Place, with Real service, well cooked food at great prices.

I can honestly say, you cannot get what Sofias offers anywhere else - Good Food at a Great Price & the Sea View - wonderful... and if your there one night & you find yourself asking 'is the staff looking after me as well as i would like' just look around at the other 300 guests they need to service too - i would hate to be in there shoes...

So please people, lets all take a deep breath & just ENJOY the experience - book a table with friends, share some food & drink some wine while looking at the Sea - Enjoy Life.

Plus i'm told Sofias Frankston is been run by a new manager now, and YES what a massive improvement. The food was Fresh, Tasty and those always Massive portions... which make for great left lunch the next day... its GREAT VALUE.

Also may i suggest, on a nice winter night sitting in the heated decking tent; its so romatic like an Arabian Night, with a great waiter 'Lenko' looking after us, it was wonderful... well worth the experience. All in all a great new experience in Frankston... they are really lifting their game.

so forget all the old stories & try them out again - for a casual night out with friends, partner or family, its well worth it.

Venomous Newbie 1 review
After being told b a friend that the meals were good value, I thought I would give it a try.. I was pregnant at the time but took my mum, toddler and self to Sofias. It is the most noisiest place you could go and the chairs are uncomfortable. Our meals came out 2 minutes in to our entree.. We asked that it be taken back because we had only just started to eat our entree.. the staff were so rude about it.. When we finally did finish our entree half an hour later, we let them know that we were ready for our meals now.. within 5 minutes, our meals were brought to the table.. the same meal they had brought the first time.. they had re-heated it in the microwave. It was disgusting.
