Established in 1961, The Southern School of Natural Therapies is the longest established school of its kind in Australia and has played a leading role in the development of complementary medicine both in our part of the world and internationally.

One of the great advantages of studying with SSNT is the Southern Clinic. This provides practical training for students of the Southern School and inexpensive natural health care to the general public.

With 50 years in academic excellence, the school aims to produce highly trained primary-contact health care practitioners that have a sophisticated understanding of clinical research methodology, using both scientific methods and new research models.

Situated in a recently renovated three-storey building in the inner Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy, our excellent facilities include:

- The Alf Jacka Library which houses one of Australia's largest collections of natural medicine texts and journals, the student clinic's
- Large lecture rooms with the latest audiovisual facilities
- Common areas for students and staff including a Rooftop garden
- Discounted treatments at The Southern Clinic
- Access to computers, the internet (including free Wi-Fi) and photocopying services.
