    Dear Rob, I am writing this to say thank you for a stress free renovation to our house & a beautiful set of new stairs. Having done renovations before, I was dreading the stress that comes from renovating but I was surprised that we had only a few complications which were promtly explained and solutions found. The whole process was done with minimal mess and disruption to family life. What I found to be most professional was your willingness to listen to any of my concerns and your promptness to take actions without giving excuses.Thank you for making my renovations easier and i couldn't be happier with the end product. I will certainly recommend you to my friends.

    We were recommended Southern Stairs from friends of ours and have had a really good experience with them. Renovating a house is very stressful but they were so helpful and gave good advice and it was obvious that they have a lot of experience in the industry. My hardwood staircase was ontime and on budget, if only the rest of my renovations could have been... Friends have all commented on our staircase and I would be happy to recomend Southern Stairs to anyone.

    Southern Stairs were recommended to us by a local builder who was doing renovations on our home. I had also heard good things from a work friend. Unfortunately our experience was horrible. Firstly we left 3 messages about someone coming to do a quote. They only responded after the third phonecall and this took approx 2 weeks, then another week for them to come out to the house. A salesperson came out and discussed our requirements. They told us what we were after was "very pricey" and my husband and I assured them that we wanted the best job done, not the cheapest. Well 7 long weeks on and we are STILL WAITING for our quote!!! The worst part about this is that we had the local builder remove the existing stairs anticipating the new ones would be ready and installed within 4 weeks (this is what Southern Stairs estimated) so now we have no stairs and to make matters even that little worse I am 38 weeks pregnant and am having to negotiate a dodgy step ladder to access my home. Our phonecalls have gone unheard, with the receptionist explaining that they are currently "very busy" and the quote will be done when it's done. We also told the local builder who recommended them initially to us and he has even called them for us but with no result. He has said he would never recommend them again and is very apologetic towards us (not that it is his fault at all!). Very disappointing Southern Stairs!!!

    My husband and I have recently renovated our home and when we selected Southern Stairs and our whole renovation ground to a halt. They promised delivery in a month but it actually took more than three. The sales person never kept us in the loop. Once they actually asked me to call them to save the inconvenience of having to look up my number. I was always the one chasing them to find out what was happening. They couldn't source our preferrred timber in more than a month (even though they had committed to it in the quoting stage), my husband and I were able to in one afternoon. We organised everything to secure the wood, they then didn't bother to actually place the order and so we lost the timber. But they didn't tell us that until I called to find out from the supplier. So there was another delay! When they finally put the stairs in, after more than three months, there was no apology, no hit of regret - just a "payment is due today!" The product is very nice, we are happy with it - but we would never want anyone else to go through what we went through.
