We had a Spanline outdoor area which we wanted to enlarge and enclose. The project had problems from start to finish. They put windows in upside down, left big gaps in the walls and ceilings, made the slab uneven so that the floor could not be laid correclty and there was a poor standard of workmanship. There were many other problems. It was so bad that they agreed to pull the whole structure down and build it again. We contacted Spanline Australia's manager about the problems but he did not seem to have any control over the franchise owner. When the structure had been rebuilt again it was a little better but it still had a poor standard of workmanship. It still had many leaks. I went back to Spanline Bundaberg about the leaks they said the previous owner had left and it was now owned by new owners and that we should go to the BSA and claim insurance. After working with the BSA for over 1.5 years the leaking problem has finally been fixed (we hope). I think it is very poor that while Spanline Australia say they will give a guarantee of quality of materials and workmanship they will not help in situations such as this. The BSA also found that the stormwater pipes had not been connected.
