Very unhappy with a recent customer service experience at this store. A staff member rushed through with me even though the store wasn't crowded. I asked for a different color in the glasses and tried to brush me aside saying there wasn't one. I mentioned I saw one in a different color on the shelves and staff changed mind. Staff is also rude on the phone.
I asked for larger nosepads and they didn't have any in store. None of the staff helped with selecting glasses. I once shopped here in the past and the staff member adjusting my glasses did it wrong so many times staff had to wait for their supervisor to fix it for me. Another time I asked for a microfibre cloth and they said they didn't have any and gave me an $8 piece of cloth instead. Please take yourself to another Specsavers store as this one just doesn't provide a consistent level of customer service.
Marie or Maria, Just wonderful. I can't recall who my husband dealt with in regards to his last purchase but she was extremely helpful also! A very easy store to deal with who are wonderful to deal with
I thought Specsavers blacktown was one of the best optical stores I have ever visited. The staff was very informative, polite and helpful.
I would tell all my family and friends about them as I would not recommend them to anybody else.

I had a very positive experience at Blacktown Specsavers, I think that its sad that the person below obviously has an axe to grind ,, Professional staff great service and aftercare, Bought two pairs of glasses last week and had the most through eye test ,everything was explained to me in detail by the staff every step of the way .I would highly recommend Specsavers Blacktown to friends and family looking for a good deal and value for money .
My husband and i had bad experience with spec saver Blacktown Westpoint store yesterday on 8th Nov 2012. Previously my husband had bad experience with spec saver blacktown store still I decided to go to your store thinking it is my husband who is not happy with spec saver. But it was my mistake and I am really stupid that I decided to go to spec saver blacktown store ignoring my husband.
Yesterday (8 Nov 2012 at 7 PM) i decided to make my glasses from your store. I chose two frames ($249) and paid with my health fund. while i was talking to one of the staff my son (18 months) broke one of the displayed frame (It was an accident). I was asked to pay $39.95 for damage. I was happy to pay $39.95 because it was my son's (18 months) mistake (actually it was an accident). The manager also got angry with my husband and asked to control my son's behaviour and do not let him to touch anything. she asked my husband to shut mouth and pay damage ( If you do not believe then please check your CCTV camera and you will see how she was talking to my Husband).
Trust me i personally believe that manager is the rudest person i have ever seen in my life. My husband straight away paid $39.95, Cancelled my order (which i placed for my glasses) and said good bye to spec saver forever. I cancelled order not because i had to pay damage but because of the manager's rude behavior.
My Personal thought: Trust me if this behavior will continue you will loose one by one customers. Anyways this is my personal experience. and i wanted to share because other people will think twice before visiting store.

Well I've found the staff to be very helpful. If your son causes damage to their property you are the responsible adult so take ownership and don't let your child play with the displays. After all if someone come to your house and damaged your property you'd expect them to fix it or pay for it. Many shops display signs to say "if you break it you pay for it". So teach your child to behave and take responsibility for his actions. Accidents happen but that doesn't mean you are not liable.

I purchased two pair of glasses from this store. A few months after the purchase my young son trod on one of the pairs of glasses and bent the frame. I took the glasses back to the store to see if they could be repaired, and the glasses were fixed as good as new without any charge. Very impressive service!
