Queen St, Woollahra is one of the best places in Sydney with immaculate and original cafe scenes, presenting its visitors with leafy suburbia outlook like taken straight out of kids storybook. At one of the aisles that branch out from that street is Spicer St Cafe, nicely tucked to just peek enough into the main street to tease people into visiting.
The shop is quite intimate, with probably just enough space for around 20 people. Presenting classic cafe decor, this place can be a little bit under the weather despite declaring itself as air conditioned (we were there one sunny afternoon and the warmth seem to carry on inside).
The food offerings are of clean dishes. I tried out their spring breakfast which comes with smoked salmon and it was beautiful: very clean palate, filled with fresh ingredients, and of quite generous serving size. To quench the thirst, I ordered the Happy Days juice with watermelon as its main ingredient and it was satisfying apart from the fact that it was served in a jar mug which is a little bit small for my quenching needs.
The staffs are quite attentive, courteous, and prompt.
Enjoyed the shashuka eggs with a cup of hot latte, great coffee! My friend ordered bacon and egg roll, which he also liked a lot, it was fresh and the portion was quite large. So, overall very happy with the service and would recommend it!
Cute and small cafe just off queen st. Inexpensive and big portions, great bread. Open for breakfast and lunch but close up before you can get an afternoon coffee or late lunch. Bit annoying they only take cash.
