The food and feel of this Surry Hills eatery bring on a longing for more.

A CLUSTER OF shopfronts and trees makes it hard to spot SPQR at first, despite the tomato-red awning and yellow initials. For those not versed in ancient history (such as me), the acronym stands for Senatus Populusque Romanus or "the senate and the Roman people", the signature of the government of ancient Rome. The letters are still on the city's coat of arms, buildings and manhole covers.
