HOMERUN!!!! Since my first review, this nursery (and my garden) has only improved. While they are still a growing business, they haven't lost their commitment to customer service. They also stock great quality products/plants. Every visit to the shop has resulted in gaining more knowledge and confidence in what I'm doing as a gardener.

As a result, I've had my husband hack down all the rubbish and trees from our yard that were in a poor state due to lack of attention (from previous owners) and have an ambitious plan to put in a dozen fruit trees and 2 more veggie/fruit beds. I have half the trees already in and let my husband buy a rotary hoe in all confidence that I can continue to grow our food.

Yes, I have been growing our veggies! Between the quality products and sound advice, I no longer have a black thumb. Out of the 60 plants I put in, I've only lost 1. I have to give credit where credit is due.... wholeheartedly to Spring Fields Garden Centre.

This is the best nursery I've visited so far (and I've visited what few are in our area). Everyone was so friendly and helpful... and incredibly patient with this beginner who came in with probably far too many questions. They are a treasure trove of gardening knowledge and won't steer you wrong. I'm always a bit apprehensive when someone starts recommending a lot of their own products. The cynic in me always thinks they are just trying to get a sale. However, only a few items were recommended for my situation and every one of them made good gardening sense. More importantly, it didn't cost a lot. They are things I will continue to buy (from these folks) now that I understand and have educated myself a bit more (through books, gardening friends and the internet) on my garden's needs.
    Happy Gardening!
