St Helens YHA Hostel provides comfortable accommodation on Tasmania’s east coast at St Helens. The hostel is centrally located, offers beautiful views and a welcoming and warm atmosphere.The hostel offers a range of room configurations. There are two single dorms, one with eight single beds and the other with six. There are two double rooms which can be used as a family room. A bunk with single bed on top and double below and a fold-out bed provide space for four guests. There are unpowered tent sites as well. A shared kitchen and dining/lounge area includes internet connection. There are also laundry facilities. Small boats, kayaks and mountain bikes are available for hire from the hostel.St Helens has a consistent mild to warm climate. Originally a base for whaling, it is now a premier fishing port. Hire a boat and try your hand at catching fresh fish for dinner. Wander along the white sandy beaches and experience the turquoise water of the Bay of Fires. Drive the short distance to St Columba Falls, the highest falls in Tasmania, set in beautiful wilderness.The hostel is approximately two hours and 30-minutes’ drive east of Launceston (170 kilometres/105 miles)
