    HALF A REVIEW

    We got engaged and we chose stamford sydney airport for our reception because we have a lot of relatives coming over from overseas and seeing as it's nice and close to the airport it would be really convenient...however the convenience ENDS THERE. With only 3 weeks left until the wedding we've only managed to do our menu tasting. I've visited the hotel a few times to speak to staff and the wedding co-ordinator and its generally just CONFUSED, noone knows whats happening and they take a good 2 weeks to reply emails?! To be fair though my original co-ordinator is on leave so I've been 'handed over' to someone else who had no idea who I was until I called them...and if I never had then maybe they would've never contacted me? Who knows with 3 weeks to go it's not looking good at all. I asked them for a preferred supplier's list (seeing as that would save me time searching and I'd know which supplier did a good job) and all I got was a link to a website, I could've found that site!

    My friend got married at the Stamford in circular quay and she had the same experience, she complained and they got the manager to co-ordinate the wedding and they did a good job, but apparently her original co-ordinator was only a trainee!? A trainee organising a wedding = disaster.

    So unless you're a very organised bride without a full time job and family commitments you will have a horrendous time getting things organised...as if a wedding isn't hard to organise as it is?! I've put in a complaint and will contact them. Who knows, maybe our reception will go smoothly afterall?

      as i mentioned in my review i had some issues regarding my wedding coordinator at the Stamford also- rest assure on the day everything turned out really well but trust me i completly understand the frustration your feeling.

    I had my wedding in the ballroom so i had a lot of contact with the hotel and the staff over a year long period. There was some confusion with my wedding co ordinater assigned to me by the hotel as the original one was made redundant during my planning process and that was a bit difficult but once that problem was resolved everything was perfect.
    Food was amazing, the new co ordinate i was assigned was so lovely and really helpful. The ball room was beautiful and everyone was very accommodating. We also used the grand stair case in the lobby for photos which was beautiful.
    We spent our wedding night in a suite which was gorgeous, couldn't have been happier with it all. We will be going back for our first year anniversary to celebrate.

    We stayed here before jet-setting off on our honeymoon. Nice and close to the airport and the transfers were on time. While the room was quite basic, we were very comfortable. Didn't have any major issues- but the obvious point of the location is easy access to the airport. So it's not the place to stay for numerous consecutive nights.

    The hotel was chosen for its locaiton - walking distance to the Sydney Domestic Terminal. Check in seemed to be understaffed and took some time.
    The rooms were well presented, clean, and comfortably furnished.
    During our stay, we utilised the "Green Option" of not having our rooms serviced, and to receive a 10% discount voucher at the on site restaurant. Unfortunately, the said voucher did not materialise, and there was some confusion with room service as to the offer. We did eventually receive the voucher, after some discussion.
    The restaurant was disappointing - the buffet offering very limited and scant range of food. It is suggested to go the A La Carte option when dining, as it is better value.
    House keeping calls for extra tea/milk was slow - taking 30-45 minutes.
