A firm favourite of punk, heavy rock and indie rock fans in Brisbane for decades, this was originally known as the Shamrock Hotel before they changed management. Has two bars downstairs, good live music set-up and another nightclub upstairs that used to be a gentleman's club and now mostly used for rock'n'roll theme nights like 80's hair metal gigs and Northern Soul listening parties. Can get very overcrowded when high profile punk and new wave bands get booked, but there's plenty of room outside where you can sit and listen to the music if you get claustrophobia.
