Oh my God! Trying to get them to give me a straight answer on anything was like pulling teeth. I spoke to them on Thursday. When asked when they can come to give me a quote
Answer: Not sure at this point probably Tuesday or Wednesday - we're a bit busy at the moment. I'll call you to let you know. Didn't call Friday, or Tuesday. (Monday was a public holiday)
I called them on Tuesday. They didn't even apologise for not calling.
Q. When are you coming out? A: Probably tomorrow sometime.
Q. Can you give me a time? A: Not right now, I'll know better in the morning. Call tomorrow.
I called again on Wednesday
Q. What time will you be coming to give me a quote? A. We're very busy - sometime in the afternoon. Q. Early or late afternoon? A. Don't know.
I wasted my whole afternoon waiting for these people to turn up. At 5.15, I called again. Spoke to someone else. Are you going to come to give me a quote today? A: I don't know. Q. Its 5.15 - are they likely to be going home now? A: Probably
Q: Are you INTERESTED in giving me a quote? If not, let me know, don't waste my time. A: I'll get them to call you.
Still no sight nor sound.
I'll take it that they were not interested in giving me a quote. Why didn't they just say so from the start? No business from me (or any of my friends and neighbours that I tell).
The guys at Stevens Glass did a great job on our glass-walled client interview room. When we found that there was a problem with the heavy duty floor hinge/closing mechanism they sent a team out immediately to inspect the part, rectified the problem and cleaned up afterwards.
