The Strathmore Hotel is Home of the Stonegrill. Featuring an a la carte Balcony Restaurant with views over North Terrace, relaxed Cafe 129 and renovated garden bar. 

The multi-award winning Balcony Restaurant is fully enclosed with floor to ceiling glass offering impressive views of North Terrace and its historic landmark buildings.

The mouth watering menu and sensibly priced wine list makes it the perfect spot for an intimate table for two, or a function for up to two hundred. 

The seasonal A-La-Carte menu is highlighted by our famous Stonegrill, an interactive dining experience where your first bite is as hot and juicy as your last. 

Stongrill dining is also available downstairs in Cafe 129. A relaxed atmosphere with a wide menu featuring everything from schnitzels to wood-oven pizzas.

    The service was slow and the order stuffed up. BUT to their great credit they came and apologised and gave us extra, for free, of our prawn meal. As to taste, very nice. End result, everyone has bad days, makes mistakes... but these folk went out of their way to make it up. We will be back.

    Went here for some dinner before heading out to watch some local bands play. Have to say was very impressed with the menu, quality of the food and the over all experience. Once we had finished watching the bands at another bar, we tracked back here to enjoy the beer garden.

    Love it here! Downstairs is a chilled crowd (most of the time) whilst upstairs the restaurant is amazing! Very fair priced meals and highly reccommended if you want a nice quiet meal. Also try and get a table overlooking North Tce - quality stuff! Wonderful staff always up for a chat. Right across on the road from the Casino and a quick walk from many quality hotels. The Strath works well as a pub and I'll be heading back again soon.

    I agree with a few others, I believe the Strathmore has improved recently. First couple of times the food was kind of ordinary, service was slow. When its busy, its still slow, but that's understandable.

    The food quality recently though has really improved. Still work to do though.

    I'd avoided the cafe downstairs due to previous bad experiences so returned for a work lunch expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. The menu had been updated and the food that was coming out looked much more appetising. My steak sandwich was good and everyone else enjoyed their meals much more than previous occasions.
