Cosy and Intimate. Sumbar is a small local hole in the wall wine and tapas bar.

Funky front bar in a classic Spanish style with a lounge area upstairs that oozes character and comfort with a touch of Melbourne and a splash of 1930s bordello.

Sit and relax upstairs or stand and mingle in the downstairs bar area.

Sumbar has something for everyone with the groovy tunes, great tapas and all washed down with a fantastic wine menu from around the globe.

food was good but, even for tapas, the portions are small... we had to order more which meant it became quite expensive for what it was. also, they sat us in a room at the back of the restaurant which was right next to the kitchen and away from any other customers so there was ZERO atmostphere.

I'm a huge fan of this place. My friends and I go about once a month for drinks and tapas -their wine list is fantastic and the tapas is really well priced. It's small and intimate so a great place for a date or with a group of friends. If you live in Randwick or close by, definitely worth a visit. There's very few places like this in the east.
