Sun Connect Solar Electricity Systems Switch to solar and 'plug into the sun!'

Solar energy is the most constant, renewable, emissions-free source of energy. For decades we've known about it BUT up until very recently solar has not lived up to the promise it first showed because the equipment required was not efficient enough at converting sunlight into usable electricity and it was simply too expensive. Also, our existing supplies of carbon-based energy were too plentiful and cheap to compete with. Now, in Australia, solar has only finally in the last 12 months*, become not just an alternative... it has become the best alternative.

Established in 2008, Sun Connect is a 100% Australian owned and operated company with offices in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. We are proud to supply, design and install solar components specified for the Australian climate and which carry the highest warranties available in the country.

Sun Connect is a licensed electrical contracting company (EC9127) and have our own teams of in-house photovoltaic installers / licensed electricians as well as teams of specialist sub-contractors with expertise in grid-connect and standalone solar systems.

Sun Connect have helped thousands of Australian households to claim federal rebates via the Solar Homes and Communities Plan as well as the Solar Credits Scheme.

Sun Connect also leads the way in pioneering better solar installation techniques, better eco-friendly products for households and businesses within solar and affiliate renewable energy fields and better practices for making the most of available programmes and incentives to make the switch to solar.

We had a few companies come out and visit us and Sun Connect was by far the most organised and explained things the most clearly, there was quite a bit of confusing industry talk when I first started looking, but Sun Connect were able to explain solar in laymans terms. Their finance rates were also the most competitive.

I would like to say thank you for the prompt way Sun Connect went about processing our application and installation of our 28 panel solar package. The installers Dan and Paul went through the job in a most professional way. The finished job was excellent and tidy and I would recommend them to anyone who chooses to install with Sun Connect.

Sun Connect were recommended by a friend and gave us great advice about the installation process, the financials and solar in general. The installation itself was completed on time and with no hassles. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

I had a 3kw system (12 panels) installed on my house in Thornlie earlier last year, it's one of the best investments I've made, my bills have reduced by over 70% and my return on investment is close to 7 years, probably quicker if power goes up or a carbon tax comes in. Sun Connect were good without being great, it took them 8 weeks to install which is inexcusable really, but the installer who came on the day was excellent. Happy overall.

My experience was very much effected by the threat of a reduction in feed back tariffs in NSW. I needed to make sure that I had "signed up" as fast as possible and as it was I just made the deadline. Sun Connect were the quickest to respond to my inquiry and seemed to already have systems in place to get the applications in place as fast as possible. This would normally not be my highest priority in choosing a service however the change in government policy was the largest driver in my decision making in this instance (as the difference in tariffs is so significant). Been 3 months now and I'm very happy with my choice.

Everyone at Sun Connect (Installers included) were great! We chose the 7 year payment option which no one we found could come close too and our weekly payments (in a terribly cloudy summer) are very close to breaking even the $80 or so weekly power bill ($1000 per qtr) we have, making the thing practically cost neutral. It's only been 3 bills since we installed, but things are looking very good already.

Just a quick shout out to let you know how pleased we are with the solar system you installed on our house. All of the people we dealt with have been very courteous and a pleasure to deal with. The work was done in a professional manner and the installation is very neat. Of course, the best part of the system is watching our metre run backwards!

I spent several weeks researching providers in and around Perth and almost gave up with the plethora of choice and options, but glad I took the plunge with Sun Connect, they were a touch more pricey but with the research I did online and through my friends I was happy to pay a little extra for quality panels. My first qtrly bill came in at $77.50 last week, down from over $300, so couldn't be happier with the results, like someone else said, there was a slight delay on the install, but that's just a footnote having seen my most recent bill. :)

Hi there, thanks for your feedback.
Yes there's a lot of choice, so thanks for deciding to partner with Sun Connect. We are a touch 'pricey' but as you saw from your first bill, our highly efficient panels and inverters from Germany are worth every cent, and you do get what you pay for...a quicker return on investment. Hopefully those reductions in your bill continue and reduce further. :)
      Take care

I had a 9 panel system put on my home in June last year and fairly recently added an additional 9 panels on the west side of my house, totally just over 3kw. We have 2 kids and a (smallish) pool and we've been happy with the output of Sun Connects panels, obviously their original 1.5kw system didn't cover all our needs (and that was communicated with us from the start) but we were happy to use them for our upgrade.

Everyone at Sun Connect has been great, we chose their 2 year interest free payment option which we couldn't find anywhere else which means we can have the benefit of reduced electricity bills now as opposed to in a few years when we save up. A two week delay on the install probably knocked one star off my overall satisfaction though.

Thanks for your post there Spiderlily :)
Yes, our finance options are extremely popular, not everyone has the money upfront, and even if they do, who would say no to interest free over 2 years! :)
      Take care
