My husband who has dementia went to the Medical Centre with a prescription to be filled at the pharmacy. As it happens The Pharmacy was closed on a Saturday afternoon, But the staff were rude to him and said they are not chemists plus a lot of other smart remarks. He was confused when he came home, so I went back with him and spoke to the staff about it. Their answer were "We were confused" to which I replied" so is my husband but I would expect to have him spoken to politely in a medical situation". I wrote to the management complaining of this treatment but no one had the decency to reply to my letter.Needless to say I would never go to them but do patronise the Pharmacy as they are VERY helpful and not really connected with them.
I went there with my 5yr son who had been very sick for about 24 hours and was getting worse. We made an appointment as we were around the corner, by the time I got there with my son he was becoming lethargic. We sat in the waiting room for about an hour, watching everyone around us seeing the dr's and then leaving, even people who arrived after us. When I inquired how long it will be, I was informed that I was checked in as a walk in and that they could not tell me how long I would have to wait. I was disgusted at the staff's attitude and so were the people around me. Lets just say we have not been back and I have not recommend them to anyone.
The staff at this clinic are disgusting. My elderly father had a nasty fall, cracked open his head on concrete, was unconscious to the point where he could not breath and was bleeding profusely from his head and turning blue. We managed to get him breathing again and he regained consciousness after about 2 minutes. As we live only a few doors down from the clinic, we thought it would be better to put him in a car and take him there to see a doctor instead of having to wait 10-30 minutes for an ambulance. Upon arrival, the staff told us that the doctor was busy and he would have to either wait an hour or go to the Eltham clinic where they had more doctors. After trying to explain we only wanted the doctor to stop the bleeding and assess whether he should go to hospital (5 minutes of work), their response was the same. We ended up having to drive to the Austin hospital where he was finally treated. I would not recommend them as they have no empathy.
i find this comment hard to believe as i have found the staff at the clinic nothing but polite and helpful. i have been going to the clinic for 4 years and have never had a bad experience with the staff or doctors at this clinic. the staff at the clinic are always very welcoming and accomodating whenever i am there. i would recommend this clinic to anyone anne
I am not happy at all, I was not acknowledged when I was at the counter waiting to be checked in. Then the staff was absolutely rude, no smile, no communication, a simple "tick this off" etc. Then the staff began asking me medical questions (something I should have answered on paper) about my family history etc. Then (medical centers are usually running late) I was waiting for 1 hr, and didn't even receive any help or what I was after. A total waste of time, I ended up seeing my regular doctor (who I wasn't able to get through beforehand, that's why I called Sunrise medical). Apart from that, the staff asnwered the phone, asking patients "What was it for?/Why are you coming in?"- total breach of privacy policies in the medical industry! Never again!
I am disgusted with the lack of respect and total lack of empathy of the doctor at this clinic. I asked for a dr. as I was having bloating in my stomach and a few other issues. They totally disregarded any information I gave them & was not happy that I requested a test. They were extremely rough, forecibly so, totally unnecessary. In the end they gave up, stating they could not "do this" and said my 10 minutes were up and they
were running late. I had already waited for an hour over my appointment time. They showed no concern in taking any particulars from me. They just got the basics. In fact, I was treated like a nuisance, an insult, not someone that had gone to them for help. If you want to be treated like a inferior being,
by an extremely rude and arrogant doctor, who will not listen and asks you leave the clinic, by saying your 10 mins are up, you will need to leave now, then by all means attend this clinic. No professionalism was displayed whatsoever.
A minus 5.
