We offer kitesurfing & windsurfing lessons from professionally qualified instructors & are the only Accredited IKO Training School in Brisbane. Lessons available in small groups or one on one, for beginners to advance levels. We also offer rental, sales on new & used gear as well as repair service.

    The best place to go, friendly and helpful staff. The 2 hour lesson with Lloyd taught me the basics i needed to head out on my own and I now have my own gear thanks to Padi. I always head out to Sandgate to do all my Windsurfing as its a great place to learn and i get support from surf connects staff when ever i need it, I would highly recommend Surf Connect as a place to learn all the water sports they cater for

    This is a great location to learn to windsurf - good water depth, smiling, friendly instructors and well-organised. Our two hour lesson had 7 people sharing 3 windsurfers, and although we would have liked one each, it was fun to watch each other and cheer as people fell off or made progress. The two hours didn't seem long enough.

    Really really great. The shop/beach house is really well set up and all the staff are great. Yesterday i had a 6 hour kitesurfing lesson with Michael after Padi set me up with all my gear. By the end of the day i could sort of move along on the water, but i now know everything i need to to get out there and practice with no more lessons. It really is a huge amout of fun - even crashing is fun! (and the lessons make it so safe that i really cant see how you could hurt yourself if you play by the rules). I had been thinking about getting into it for months, and now the only thing i regret is that i didn't start months ago. There is literally now way this experience could have been better so i can safely say that when you do decide to give this ridiculously fun sport a go, you must go with surfconect.

    I tried out windsurfing for the very first time last Saturday, and enjoyed it far more than I ever thought I would. Thanks to Padi and Lloyd for their instruction and help, I was able to stand and sail almost immediately. I had always shied away from giving windsurfing a go because I thought it would be too difficult and had been told I would never stand up. I felt safe and secure and most of all relaxed. Thanks again, I think I'll try your SUP (stand-up paddleboarding) next, or maybe wakeboarding, or kitesurfing....

    had a sail board lesson with the lads on sat, had a good enjoyable time shame it was so short could have stayed out there most of the day.
    will be calling in to the shop to help me get going in kite boarding, as they where very help full cheers

    I had 2 windsurfing sessions with Padi and the rest of the crew this morning and LOVED it. The whole team was extremely helpful and really went out of their way to make sure the morning was enjoyable for everyone.

    If you want a place to learn Kiteboarding/surfing THIS IS THE PLACE. Surf Connect is full of friendly, inviting staff that make you feel a part of their family. Their ability to teach is amazing, considering they could teach me, I believe they could teach anyone.
    Would Highly recommend them!

    I would like to sincerely thank Padi for his help with my bar and lines this week. His assistance has enabled me to not miss a session.

    When I broke my depower line on my Liquid Force bar and Lines I wasnt sure what to expect and my initial calls were suggesting an expensive and lengthy exercise - until I called surf connect. I now have my bar safely back and looking forward to the next time there is wind and I can get back out onto my LF Havoc.

    Had my first lesson with Mitch today and I cannot give these guys enough praise. Padi (owner) is one of the most professional people I have met. Friendly and efficient, he takes nothing for granted. Mitch is an enthusiastic instructor who knows the area and was great to learn from.

    The atmosphere in the shop (house across from the beach) is relaxed and inviting. Once you understand you are welcome in what appears to be someones home, you quickly become one of the family.

    If you are thinking of taking on this as a hobby or obsession (be warned), then look no further than Surf Connect. You will not regret it.

    Being Brisbane residents its very convenient to have a great outdoor activity like kite surfing available on our doorstep. We are even more fortunate to have such a high quality kite surfing school like Surf Connect based off Flinders Parade at Sandgate. As a Dad this is something I wanted to do with my 12 year old son but having never surfed or done anything like this before, we were a bit apprehensive about the whole thing. Padi was fantastic. He owns the school and gave us all the information we needed. We immediately signed up and booked ourselves in for lessons the following week. Mitch our instructor was excellent and his passion for the sport is infectious. He was very patient and informative and we rapidly came to grips with all the kit, equipment and safety instructions. Though we only did the introductory lesson, we couldn't ask for better quality instructors, training or information. We continue with our training this weekend and can't wait to get back....
