A consistent sushi performer in the city and I've visited many many times. It can get busy right in the middle of the lunch time rush, but, you never have to wait too long.

The staff are great and always helpful.

Agree with other posts here, even a year ago. Sushi Rio has kept up the standard, and is still a great sushi train place. Lunch time recommended around 1pm or so, you get the lunch special with $3 plates. All the plates are fresh, and just the right size; none of those huge tasteless ones you find in some sushi train places. Variety is good, with a few several plates on offer. Service excellent, staff are aware of what customers want. Ambiance also good. One of the better sushi trains around the city.

I just went here for a sushi train lunch and it was fantastic. Fresh food and very keenly priced, (all the dishes were $3 ) there was a lot of variation and all the sushi etc was really yummy! I highly recommend this place for a quick sushi lunch or pre-film dinner. Very friendly staff too. Loads of Japanese diners too which is a good sign.

This is by far the best sushi train style restaurant in all of Sydney that I have been to. The sushi is always fresh and they have interesting things on the menu which you can order such as scampi and agadashi tofu with soft shell crab. However my favourite is the scallop and omelet hand roll. Also it is very affordable but the service can be slow at times.

One of my favourite places to grab lunch - it's a bit of a walk from my office but totally worth it. I always have the hand rolls, which are made to order and really fresh and tasty. Most customers seem to partake in the sushi train, which I haven't tried yet but looks great. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is fast and cheap, plus the decor is a bit fancier than your average sushi joint. Importantly the place is usually full of Japanese customers which I think is a good sign!
