DO NOT USE!
The van turned up dirty and unmarked, even though I had mentioned there were a few flights of stairs, the removalists were complaining and made us feel uncomfortable straight away. I had mentioned we had a sofa which the back had to be removed and was assured over the phone it wouldn't be a problem - my partner had to go back and remove it as they didn't have a clue - it only needed unclipping.
They took 5 and a half hours to pack our 2 bed apartment and we had moved a lot of our own stuff. In all it took 7 hours to move 2 streets. They then tried to charge us extra for a heavy sofa and they had winched some stuff which even I can carry.
When we went back to the old place to clean the next day, they had left the front door open, the patio door wide open and there were 2 big holes in the wall. Every other wall had scuff marks and paint from our furniture. Our furniture was scratched, and boxes were full of broken crockery so not much care had been used.
When I emailed the company to let them know about the damage on the wall, I was told very rudely that no report had been made on the day and how did they know it was their fault. They wouldn't pay for any damage nor would they give me a receipt for payment even though we paid them $1000 including VAT. I have been ignored 3 times when I have requested this.
So if you want to be overcharged, and to have a lot of damage to pay for use these.
The worst removal company we have EVER used.

Thank you to the team for making our move a success. The guys worked very hard and were efficient. They didn't complain once and respectfully let us know when they were taking breaks, which was only twice for 15 minutes in an 8 hr move!

Just wanted to let everyone know the great service this guys provided. Very friendly specially with my kids running around. Its difficult to find now days people that you can trust and are a good value for money. Wont hesitate on contacting them on my future removals and will make sure I pass on the message to whom i can.

Hi, just to say that these guys did a great job and took all the stress out of my move. I took the easy option and booked packing help, unpacking help and the cleanup at the end. I did a bit before and felt like anytime i did a bit of packing it was really saving me money. In the end Marty and his crew saved me heaps compared to the pre quoted jobs I got.
Nothing broke and I am not broke!

Well where do I begin? My previous review was removed "due to a complaint". I wrote that review still furious from my experience with this removal company and as a result it was short and to the point. I said basically in 3 lines that MyVoice's review summed up my experience except I was not lucky enough to get drivers who were "nice", I got ones that were rude and behaved like glorified standover men. A comment on my review was then posted by the business owner accusing me of being a representative of a competing company whom he was aware of and that to ignore my fake review. Ironic. Seeing as he posted this accidentally with the account he had used several weeks earlier to post a glowingly positive review of his own business. Through the laughter I pointed this out, politely, and received an unspecified threat of "action". The reviews, comments, and fake reviews have all mysteriously disappeared. I have screen shots for posterity, which I'll post a link to but I'm unsure that it will make it through the moderation process which appears to be automated.

So, you asked for it MPWalsh, Mathb76 or whatever else you are calling yourself. My unabridged review of this business to dispel any uncertainty that I am anything other than a unhappy customer.

Firstly, a quick peruse of the reviews for this business on google should be all you need to raise your eyebrows and not use this company. Some of the reviews could be legit, but far too many of them are written in a way that can and only would be written by someone promoting the business. Most reviews read like this:

"This company is fantastic. They arrived at my house on the back of unicorns and an elite team of carebears arrived at my door to whisk away my valuable possessions on clouds while I was served magic pudding and had my feet massaged by a friendly sea otter. A+++++"

The dates and time of the reviews are also suspect, with reviews coming in drips and drabs on certain days of the month. Negative reviews are decried as being "fake" which appears to be a standard, yet transparent, tactic to avoid criticism.

We hired this company to do a simple move several weeks ago, distance wise it was a short hop, 1.9kms according to google maps. But we had a good deal of bulky furniture and no way of moving it ourselves without hiring a ute and making half a dozen trips. We called this business and the guy on the phone was extremely helpful giving us an over the phone quote and booking a job in faster than any other company we called could have.

That was were the good experience ended. On the day, 2 hours late, the removalists turned up. From the start they were rude and standoffish and appeared incredibly unprofessional. The truck was unmarked, old, and the guys turned up with no uniforms and dismissively shoved a piece of paper in my face and said to sign it quickly since they were already "on the clock". This piece of paper was a liability waver for damaged or breakages to my possessions. Why does a professional removalist company not have insurance. Given that they have above promoted themselves as "the city's premier removalists".

The experience descended in to madness with the drivers working slowly, taking smoke breaks, and requiring me to micromanage every aspect of the removal. The final kick in the guts was being overcharged, we tried to contact the drivers boss and we left about half a dozen or more voicemails begging for someone to call us back. We never got a call returned, and instead when we posted a negative review online we received dismissive and false accusations about our motives. It was not about the money.

  The answer to your insurance question is that no removalists have insurance for YOUR goods. Recent legislation (about 4 years ago) prohibits anybody from selling insurance without a licence to do so. In the past removalists themselves sold insurance, collected premiums.This now is prohibited.

Great service. I had 2 refrigerators to move. the men arrived on time, put the fridges in the right place. Many steps included in the move. No damage to walls, the pot plants or the fridges.
