Having had a bad experience and a massive overcharge by this locksmith about 4 years ago, we decided to give them another chance. So, we recently went back there to get a door lock for our sliding door. Initially the greeting and service seemed okay. However, when we were asking about a product we thought was available, we were told it did not exist. When we tried to clarify the information, the service then turned into an "I-know-it-all" attitude. We were told the piece we would need could be ordered in the next day, and we were given a price. We told them that that price was 4-5 times more than the indicative price that the manufacturer gave us. But we were told that that price that they gave us was it, and that the manufacturer wouldn't supply to us directly anyway.
We decided that we didn't like the attitude so chose not to part with our money to them, and went home to do more research. We found another locksmith, and went there the next day. This locksmith had the part that we were told by Sydney Locksmiths did not exist and we paid a third of the price for it (and for a better brand)! So, it was lucky that we decided to walk away to do more research: we found a nicer locksmith that we can use in the future, spent our money supporting a business that was more courteous, and saved ourselves some money.
