A beautiful Sydney icon! There is something special about this venue that just takes your breath away. As you gaze upon its beauty, you are captivated by it's soaring shape and glistening sails... A must see for any visitor to Sydney.
Amazing structure! One of the reasons I visited Sydney (apart from the weather, the Harbour Bridge etc et al). The view from the point is wonderful and a great view of the boats and ferries on the harbour.
I remember the first time I visited the Sydney Opera House as a little school girl. I remember seeing the white sails towering over me, reflecting bright rays of sunshine. My recent visit to the Opera House evoked the same feelings of awe and inspiration... The inside of the Opera House is breathtaking, the high ceilings, the elegant lines and structure, it makes you feel proud to live in Sydney.
I had an event here and the staff were helpful and attentive. Everything went smoothly and it was a memorable experience in an icon of Australia.
I probably should have taken half a point off because the forecourt is being renovated! No, you have to give it 5 stars. What a lovely place to wander through. A photographer's dream. I recommend the tour topped off with the tasting plate and a glass of bubbly, of course.
You can understand why this place is such an icon, and will continue to be for probably forever! Great for taking photos, a place for new years and a tourist attraction for all australians and those from overseas! I wish I had been there at sunset!
My every experience of the Opera House has been perfect. Taking UK tourists and watching their reaction as they see the Australian icon for themselves, watching several concerts and symphonies in the concert hall, and plays in the theatre. In support of music education, the Sydney Opera House also invite students during school years to audition to perform there during primary and/or high school years. Having enjoyed that experience several times over as a young one, my enjoyment was doubled when witnessing my second grade and sixth grade daughters perform there also. I doubt they will ever have the opportunity of performing anywhere quite that truly amazing. The concert hall is something very special indeed and am pretty confident it cannot be surpassed in Australia. Guests having a drink outdoors during interval, would have to agree that there is something magical about the city's lights reflected on beautiful Sydney Harbour - in the presence of the Harbour Bridge also.
