Had day surgery here recently and was very happy with the way they looked after me. Staff all seem caring and "patient". I've got quite a phobia about surgery. In fact this was my first one in 40 years. But they put me at ease and didn't ever leave me waiting round long enough to have full blown panic attack. One thing I didn't understand though. Whenever I've had a baby (at other hospitals) they've insisted on me leaving the hospital in a wheelchair even though I'm perfectly capable of walking. This time I'd just had knee surgery and a general anaesthetic and had to hobble all the way out myself. I felt like passing out by the time I got to the car. I wouldn't have complained about being wheeled out that time.
