    I had a taco from here that I thought was so awful I went back to have another taco to see if it was just as bad (when you're in a taco mood any taco is better than no taco at all, right?). The other attraction here is that, like Hog's Breath, they have ice machines with margaritas inside-quite a large range of flavours, too.

    The restaurant has heaps of awards listed on its menu but NO DATES FOR THE AWARDS - bit suss for a chain that has been around for like thirty years or something. I went on Sunday evening, fourteen people in a 71-seat (counted) restaurant. I had potato skins, one of which was supposed to be filled with taco beef with beans and the other with some sort of corn stuff. A day later I can still taste the horrible beans, and I think whatever cow the meat came from was definitely a has-bean. You'd get much better corn out of a can. You'd get MUCH better beef chili in a can of Stagg, and it would have more meat in it, too. After determinedly devouring the poor food, I found some tiny not-very-crispy potato skin underneath. The staff have this horrible forced gaiety that reeks of depression. I was lucky, I got someone with 'STAFF TRAINER' on her pocket who was just sincerely unfriendly.

    I expected a bad meal and I got one. I could have treated two friends and me to a good Chinese in Russell St for the $34 I paid (this did include a $15 mango margarita).

    If you're a glutton for punishment or you really really like margaritas, take any tram up Collins St about a block from Elizabeth St and you're there.
