I have been visiting this medical centre for around 5 years and have had predominantly very good service. I see a particular doctor, but have on occasions had to see other doctors after hours or on weekends and have always left feeling positive. They charge you for visits, however they are upfront about this and there are no surprises. Evenings and public holidays can be busy because they are walk-in only times, however I've never waited more than an hour to see the doctor.

I have always been pleased with this practice. The staff are always pleasant and do there best to address your needs. Further more, at least 80% of the time, they are on time with their appointments, which is more than I can say for any other practice I have visited :)

Terrible and never again. Waited over 45mins for a appointment I had prebooked, checkin staff clearly forgot. Then on the way about got scolded by the staff at your payment desk - terrible customer service

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to express your concerns regarding your experience at the Taringa 7 Day Medical Centre.

I apologise that you felt unhappy about the wait times on the day of your consultation. After a recent practice meeting, we have implemented certain strategies to be able to better manage these situations. These are:
      (a) Signs to advise patients if they have been waiting longer than 15 minutes, to report back to the desk
      (b) Advice at the counter on check in if a doctor is running later
      (c) Staff members to monitor waiting room more frequently and update patients accordingly.

We often will have to triage patients based on the severity of their condition and unfortunately, this may have been the case on these occasions.

We welcome your call (3870 7239) to discuss your individual experience in detail so we can provide relevant feedback.

Dr Bailie and Dr Seewright are the only doctors I would recommend at the practice. Every other experience I have had has been beyond terrible. They did not listen to what I was saying, and only resulted to antibiotics without suggesting any other ways to go about the problem.

The reception staff are highly unprofessional and rude. Some of the receptionist stand and talk in front of you whilst waiting for service. Also one in particular ate cookies while staff was serving me.

If you are going to this practice, be prepared to wait 1 hour.

Went there to get blood test, waited for almost 3 hours (2.45 to be exact). After long waited hours, i get call just so the doctor can say "oh, the blood test is not open today, you can come by tomorrow". the fact that i specifically said at the admission centre "i wanna get a blood test today if its possible", and they said "yes, just wait for around 45 minutes thank you" just p*****d me off. And on top of it I have to pay $95.

terrible. Worst Dr I have ever been to. Kept me waiting and the sat me next to a garbage bin of food scraps to do the consult. Room smelt so bad I ran out the door. Yuck.

The doctor was terrible! They didn't listen to a word I said when I was describing symptoms... Did not offer any assistance until requested and suggested what I had already advised I had tried. I had to ask her if they listened to anything I had said... Very very disappointing!

Saved my life. Went to see Doctor Baillie today and remembered that I was going to write a review about them last time I saw a Dr there. 6 months ago I was bitten by a brown snake. I stupidly drove to the medical centre and in haste parked my car in the middle of the car parks. The receptionist saw me entering through the front doors and quickly came to my aid and took me straight to the nurse out the back area. I was seen by a Doctor immediately. I was sent by ambulance to The Wesley Hospital, the receptionist called The Wesley to let me know that they had parked my car in there gated carpark to check on how I was doing and that they would lock my keys safely away. Been going there since I was a child and always had great service from all staff.

Had a bad experience with this centre. Called up before leaving home and was told there was only a 15-20 minute wait for walk ins, but I could also have a booking for later that evening. I took the booking but went down shortly after as my boyfriend was having a bad reaction to an insect bite. The staff at the front desk (who were kind enough) told us there was only one more person in front of us. We waited for over an hour and a half and asked the staff several times at the counter why it was taking so long or if we had been called and not heard our name. They just kept making excuses.

Ended up leaving without having seen a doctor, and having to return five hours later for the original appointment. Appointment was $60 (weekend) and could claim half back on Medicare.

As a busy working Mum, like most Mums with boys visits to the doctor are pretty frequent. We usually use a doctor in the Centenary suburbs but recently needed urgent medical attention on a weekend when our usual doctor was unavailable. Yes its expensive ($100 on a public holiday, $65 on a Sunday), but the expertise is absolutely first class. None of these doctors have a relationship with us, but their care and advice was second to none, and probably more state-of-the art knowledge than our own doctors have. It was in and out, much quicker than a hospital, but with the exact same care and attention. We recommend it.
