They certainly aren't the largest pharmacy and therefore don't cover the product range offered by some of the others around but if you need a prescription filled or have a general problem then they are perfect.
They are open 7 days till late and are happy to help.
Indro34 - There are literally 4 'significantly bigger' pharmacies within a 1km radius of this one and yet you keep going back....Secondly, if it was such an effort to get ready etc...why not just call ahead, or better yet since you'd been there before realise they were small (ie may not have scales) and simply go straight to the hospital/another pharmacy? You speak of common sense and you even quote Einstein...have you heard of irony?
So anyways nothing wrong with this pharmacy other than some of the people that might go there. They might not carry what you're after but just call ahead to be safe.
I'm sorry justin but i feel i must defend indro 34 here. she said she needed one open at 9pm, your comment about going to another pharmacy in the local area isn't helpful as i don't think there is another open that late. and indeed that is a plus of this pharmacy --- late opening hours. that is definately a good thing. but i am afraid the staff there are OK at customer service, but really just average. You'll get lovely customer service at the Taringa fiveways chemist. Taringa Day & Night are also expensive. So if you need some medication urgently, and it is outside normal trading hours, you can go there but expect to pay more. I live close by and only go there when nothing else nearby is open.
Don't go to this pharmacy if you need to use some scales.
I had dressed my 7 week old babies, assembled two baby car seats in the 4 wheel drive, packed up the babies and driven to the pharmacy at 9pm at night as this is the only time I could get out of the house.
I just wanted to use their scales so I could know for sure that I was feeding my babies the correct amount of formula. Not only does the pharmacy not have baby scales, the fresh faced chemist refused to get their scales out. There was not one customer in the pharmacy at the time. Einstein said that the scales in this case "wouldn't work".
So we drove another 5 or so minutes to the Wesley Hospital and their normal adult scales worked just fine for this process.
This isn't the first instance of being exasperated by the highly intelligent but low in common sense staff at this pharmacy. Another time I went there and stood at the counter beside my husband and was ignored after they took his order and then served 3 other people first.
The owners of this pharmacy should consider employing counter staff who have a degree in life experience or common sense.
