We just came back from 1 of the most disappointing dinner out ever. I am so unhappy, it prompted me to join this review forum to warn others.
As we ordered, we were told they had no more ribs and were very low on steaks so we went with the steak and buritto, Tacos (mains) and the kids chicken tenders and calamari.
The kids meals were tiny (maybe 6 calamari rings and chips with pale batter falling off) and instead of 3 chicken tenders got 2 small tenderloins and a few scrappy pieces. I pointed this out to the staff who simply shrugged and asked if I wanted to take it back to the kitchen. Staff did not take our concern seriously. Staff offered us Nachos, taking away the 1 piece ad scaps that were left and still charged me for the meal (either $11.95 of $13.95)
The rest of the meal portion were small and poorly presented. It was way too pricey for what turned up. In total our meal (without drinks) costed $83.30 for very little, substandard food. I was so put off, I didn't even take photos (as is usual for me). I don't know whether they were down sized because we used a voucher (paid $29 for $70 worth) ofr that was the usual portions, but I strongly dissuade anyone from coming this place.

We were the first diners in the restaurant on a Saturday night, so the service was prompt. The order was taken correctly and was brought to the table incredibly fast. We ordered a full rack of ribs, chicken enchiladas with sides of rustic mash and vegetables. The enchiladas came with a Mexican rice and re-fried beans. Cheese toast also came with both meals. The staff catered to miss 2 by bringing an extra plate so we could share our meal. they also offered spoons and forks for her. the food was amazing, the best Tex Mex I've had since NYC. I would highly recommend this restaurant for incredibly friendly service, excellent food. I believe the price was of around $60 (including 3 drinks) was fair considering how much even a pub meal costs these days. I will definitely go back again and will work my way through the menu!

Food was good, maybe a little $$$, but not too bad. Service was good, but attention to detail wasn't great. 3 out of the 9 orders were incorrectly taken. 2 got the wrong meal, and 1 didn't get their meal at all. But once they were aware of the mistake, it was rectified quickly.
But the service generally was good - very friendly. Just need to make sure the little things are done right.
The onion rings, steak, ribs and enchiladas were good.

Food was excellent, with large portions. We did have to wait a little bit for mains, but it was worth the wait. Will be heading back.

Went here with my partner not long ago food was amazing and will definitely go again,the only bad part about the night was the person serving us was rather rude but other than that a nice night out.

We went as a large group and we were the only people there and we were squashed up in the back corner and could barely talk to each other. they're "bar" served flat coke out of 2 litre bottles that were already half empty and the food took almost an hour to come out! The birthday girls' chicken came out half raw, trying to be covered in too much cheese and everything else was either burnt or had too much chili.. definitely a disappointment... will not be going back again...

Fantastic - a great family restaurant with atmosphere. The meals sizes are very generous and prices are very fair. Service staff are friendly (they really seem to enjoy their jobs) and kids are really made to feel welcome. Even have activities to keep them occupied. Will definitely keep going back.

I've been here a few times and always enjoyed it. Never had a problem with taking too long - in fact the customer service is one of the highlights to us. We have young kids and the staff have always been really enthusiastic and friendly - they even have colouring in sheets and such for the kids to do. The kids also love the decorations - with the wild west look to it - cowboys and stuff.
The food is fantastic - Tex Mex style but with a much bigger menu than your usual mexican style. The ribs were awesome.
I would say it is one of the best restaurants for families in the Redlands

I have in the past never thought to write a review but after my experience at "Taste of Texas" I felt the need to share my experience....It was not a pleasent evening out with friends. I found the service lacking after having to wait a considerable time for the meals to arrive, the food quality was average at best and the wait staff although as friendly as they could be, serverly overworked with little help from the kitchen staff......Will definatley NOT be going back there again

  Sorry for the late reply - we have had some tech issues and were not able to access this account.
  We are truly sorry that you and your friends had this experience at our restaurant. Our restaurant is rapidly increasing in popularity and as with anything, it takes time to learn how to adapt. We had a very busy night that evening and I am happy to say we have learnt from it.
  I do understand your frustrations with the service you received and I would like to make it up to you if you'd be willing to give us another chance. Please come on into the restaurant for one FREE main meal (please bring ID so we know it is you)
  I will also be making this offer to your friends who have submitted their reviews for the same evening on here. Why not make a night of it and come together?

Went here for dinner tonight for the first time and I was very impressed. Great Tex / Mex theming that had the kids entertained. The kids actually ate free for a promo they were running which was an added bonus!
Our meals were huge and delicious - we ordered entrees and mains but really shouldn't have as we were SO full. My husband had ribs and said they were fantastic.
The customer service was wonderful - very attentive and friendly.
HIGHLY Recommended!
