    Having been a fan of Triumph Motorcycles for many years I was immediately drawn to the Taverner Lounge and Dining logo on a recent drive through the Mitchelton area.

    After getting home I was able to book a table for dinner that evening for my partner and I (which was surprising yet welcome on such short notice).

    On arrival we were impressed by the fit out that had been put in place throughout the restaurant; right up the alley of a bike lover! Unfortunately the quality and value of the food didn't quite live up to the high levels of our first impression.

    Whilst not terrible, the food was quite bland. In particular, the "Italian Entree" seemed to be devoid of any Italian ingredients - containing instead Greek olives and Spanish onion amongst other generic ingredients.

    When it came time for the main course, it quickly became apparent that like so many post Masterchef restaurants that portion size has been reduced to levels not seen since rationing during the Great War. The food quality was adequate, just not a whole lot of food to assess one thinks.

    The prices were ok, certainly by modern standards anyway. The one saving grace however was the lounge - post dinner drinks in a laid back environment is a definite winner.

    Just came back from lunch at Taverner, thought i would post my experiance before it left my mind. was very impressed, new renovations look great. All of the staff were very attentive, and even went out of there way to make sure i enjoyed my lunch. The food was delicious. Wouldnt normally stay for as long as i did, however after lunch moved into the lounge, was very comfortible and my mother and my self stayed for a few hours. Will definatly go back

    A real credit to the local community. A restaurtuer who really wants to make a difference. An establishment with the right mix, of energy, creativity, and commitment. Well done Taverner Lounge and Dining, you have the right attributes to be a great Brisbane Restaurant. All the best.

    Has really created a better name for this suburban restaurant. Will visit there again and again and again. The food was amazing, service was lovely and the new look of the place is very refreshing
