Reviews of Temasek Restaurant

  • Best laksa and Hainanese chicken rice you will find in Sydney. If you love flavour, you will love Temasek.

Did someone say MSG? If I didn't notice it before, I most certainly noticed it last time I was there. Thirsty throughout my meal, and thirsty for hours later, Temasek will not have me going back for seconds. The quality of the food has gone down hill and really, why would you dine here when there we are now spoilt for choice when it comes to authentic Malaysian fare? Do yourself a favour and avoid Temasek.
  • I like Asian food with not that strong taste where it is in parramarra also close to my home. This is best restaurant in parramatta. I wanted to give 5 full stars but i had once bad experiance with one of staff was bit rude, i am giving 4.5 stars. Reasonable price in terms of quality of service.
  • Found the food average. Not bad mind you. It was pleasant but probably over priced for what it is. We went during lunch and got seated in the room across from the main restaurant, it was a room that was pretty empty and bare, not great in terms of ambience, but at least we got a table.
  • Ordered food from Temasek, for my husband's birthday, very good quality, all the guests enjoyed! Been eating here for 20 years now! Thanks for the true Malaysian flavour

One of my fave Malaysian spots to eat at in the west. The kitchen is loud, the dining area louder. Don't go here for the ambience as it is bright lights and raucous laughter, clattering of plates and often many left behind in the hurriedness of things. If this puts you off - don't bother going. But do go for the good Laksa, Nasi Goreng and other authentic meals. Value for money, Temasek is a family fave that always gets my vote.
  • Comparing with other authentic asian restaurants, very disappointed with the place and food quality, with the price they charge. I felt like eating in an ordinary street alley. Fried chicken was very dry, and food presentation was very poor. I don't get the feeling that food are cooked fresh, considering the long waiting time.

Temasek does a pretty awesome nasi goreng (fried rice), probably the best I've had in Sydney. We also ordered the sambal fish, gado-gado and beef rendang, all of which were decent but not amazing. If you have had Singaporean/Malaysian mothers or "aunties" cook the same dishes for you, it just does not compare.
  • dined here last night for my girlfriends 21st birthday, food was great and service was good as well, very friendly and helpful staff
found the restaurant on truelocal as well, knew the place would be good by the reviews
  • Food taste has already been adjusted, not much authentic but is okay. The service was fast and people are nice. Good job.

I didn't know I loved Malaysian food until I ate here, perhaps I don't and they are just so good at what they do. Either way I will be returning to this place again until I have tried the majority of the menu!
  • This Malaysian restaurant serves authentic, delicious food that is reasonably priced. They serve the best fried rice I've had in Sydney! The best dishes to order are the sambal prawns and chilli beef as you can't get more flavour than that! I highly recommend making a reservation as it is quite busy on weekends and weeknights. The atmosphere is busy and noisy, but if you are looking for authentic cuisine that doesn't need to impress anyone except for their taste buds, then this is the place to go!
  • Delicious food!!
  • delicious and fast!
  • This is my FAVOURITE place to eat Laksa! The food is so authentic not like other Malaysian restaurants out there.
  • I've been here a couple of times and each time, I have been impressed. Temasek provides diners with authentic Malaysian food and they definitely do not "water down" the spicy flavours to accomodate locals. It's very popular so always make sure you call and make a booking. Service, while not stellar, is passable. You get the food quick and wait staff are friendly.
  • This restaurant has the silkiest chicken I have ever had . It is smooth , soft and extremely delicious ! I love this place ! Highly recommend it! 1 star missing is because of the service..
  • Though a little bit tricky to find in the Roxy Arcade, Temasek is well worth the effort. This friendly restaurant serves authentic Singaporean and Malaysian dishes, and the spices and aromas are to die for. It's always packed out with a cosmopolitan clientele, which is always a good sign! I recommend the Hainanese Chicken and the Assam Fish Curry.
