Amazing front of desk service, not overly happy with actual colour and cut technique/method. INK for hair in Newmarket is better for hair but then again they lack in service.

Great hair salon. I also had Anthea and she was really good. I showed her a picture of the colour I wanted, and she matched the colour exactly. Cut was wonderful and best of all, students get a 25% discount!! I would definitely recommend

Finding the right hairdresser can be a nightmare. After several devastations and hair heartbreaks, I was relieved when I FINALLY found Anthea. Anthea has been cutting and colouring my hair for almost a year. Every visit with Anthea is always a pleasure. She is always well-groomed, attentitive and listens to what I want. Her service remains consistent and I have never left the salon unhappy. Liz and the rest of the girls are all so very lovely. Even though they are not individually responsible for my hair, their service remains personable and exceptional. As soon as my cup is empty, there is someone there immediately offering to refill it. I was thrilled when the Redken styling products were introduced to the salon. I hope that the Redken colour system isnt too far away!!

I couldn't be happier with the personal - yet very professional treatment I experience during my visits to THD.
I have recommended and will continue to recommend this business to my friends and acquaintances.
So many positives - Ben and his friendly team, Lovely light, airy and roomy salon with a view.... The best head and neck massage... Incredible spa therapists,
THD is well positioned in the city and close to parking stations so for this 'out of towner' that makes a huge difference.
I'll be back :0)

I had my hair extensions done here a little while ago. I had a consultation (they charge you for this which no other salon I know of in brisbane does) and then had to wait three weeks for them to be able to fit me in to have the extensions put in. They cost $1300 and lasted two months! within the first three weeks about 60 of the extensions had fallen out and they continued to fall out the whole time i had them in despite buying all of the products they they told me to, to ensure they lasted the longest possible amount of time. honestly the extensions were pretty bad, i have naturally quite fine hair and they used Indian hair (they don't offer any other types) which were really really obvious. You could see the outline of where my own hair ended and where the extensions started, they looked ridiculous i had to wear my hear in a bun or curl it so it wasn't so obvious. Once the time came that i couldn't go any longer with them in they charged me another $100 to have them removed.
All in all a very negative experience at THD. I wont be back.

I love THD and the changes they've made. I've been going there for over 2 years and have notices a big change in the level of professionalism of staff and service. Its one of the few places where I actually would trust the staff with different ideas on what to do with my hair and I never usually trust anyone. Thoroughly recommend to everyone

I was a little unsure about going back to THD after having been a little unimpressed by the haircut and colour they had given me before but a friend from work was raving about her colour and said I must go again. What an improvement! my friends & even my husband! Commented on my colour & I was delighted with the cut, I know that I will be using THD again, I've already booked my next appointment!!!

When i first started getting my hair cut at THD Hair and Spa about 2 years ago i never had a problem however since then many staff members have left for other salons and i find that some of the current staff are very out of date, and are more interested in what they would like to do rather than what i'm asking for. Claire and Lynda are wonderful in the Beauty and Waxing area however i would not recommend the Hairdressing Section at all.

  I still use THD for my hair and I'm not sure who you are referring to but I have also noticed that the younger stylists have gone and now there are more experienced staff members there. I personally prefer having someone who knows what they are doing rather than a senior apprentice!

  i have also found this in the past year, My friends and i had been going to for a stylist for a while and after he left and we asked where he had gone to, none of the staff would even tell us! i tried one of the other staff members out soon after but found i had the same trouble with them not listening to what i had asked for. some of my uni friends still go to thd and are very happy there however a few of us just want someone young and fresh to do our hair again! we have since found our stylist in his new salon so it's a happy ending after all.
