    Brilliant show by James Morrison the other day. The venue is a grand old music club ... think London's Ronnie Scott's ... decades worth of signed muso pix on the walls ... bar staff are slick and friendly. The website tells me Jimmy Webb and Tony Joe White are on in the next couple of weeks. I'll be going back for sure ...

    Don't do it to yourself. The place was empty.. awkward as of the 15 people present.. no one wanted to dance, even though the band was albeit quite good (nothing to write home about, though). The security was beyond abrasive in their application of the 'no talking' rule.. in a jazz club...?? Overpriced pub food was on offer. Manager, was the most obnoxious member of the hospitality industry I have ever met. We felt unwelcome and awkward in a once relaxed and 'vibey' establishment. A venue I once recommended a few years ago, was embarrassing to take friends to. I can think of many other places to go these days for live music - minus the cost, the upturned noses, and the horrendous security and management staff.

    One of the few great live music venues left in Sydney. The basement is known for securing great acts and, as a result, usually offers a memorable night's entertainment. Booking for dinner is the best option to score a prime view, and the food is suprisingly good.The standing room area can get very crowded.

    you like funky music that is played live? then this is the club to be for you.

    the athmosphere and music is amazing and if you are lucky enough to get a table than its pretty awesome just to sit and drink and eat and chill.

    i highly recommend it.

    Sydney's premier jazz venue, although the most expensive of the lot. Good shows are fairly pricey, and even more so with dinner & table price. The drinks are expensive and nothing special, but the staff are very good (I had bartenders at my service all night without moving from my seat!). Really, it's the music that sets the mood, and if you go on a night with an amazing artist, you're going to have the time of your life.
