The Carrington is a National Trust listed building that offers the comforts of a hotel with the warm, inviting atmosphere of a guesthouse. Choose from rooms with en suites, spacious suites, rooms with a balcony overlooking Katoomba Village, rooms with spa baths, rooms with traditional claw baths, or for those on a budget, rooms with shared facilities. Some rooms have views of the famous Jamison Valley and you are only minutes from the Three Sisters, bushwalks, specialty shops, cafes and restaurants.

    I visited the Carrington for high tea on the weekend and it was just divine.

    Everything was so refined down to the finest detail. The china was exquisite, the huge grandfather clock in the corner, the stained glass windows, the great service all topped off the most delicious high tea I've ever had.

    Each morsel on the trays were beautiful to the final mouthful. The only thing that cost them the half star is the mini croquembouche. It looked amazing and tasted fantastic but was not exactly practical to serve with a pair of dainty tongs. It ended up getting destroyed and we got squashed profiteroles. It still tasted amazing but it kind of detracted from the mood a little.

    That said, the scones were nothing short of amazing! I usually find I need to lather on the jam and cream just to make a scone edible. These were the most delicious and moist scones I've ever had in my life! Well worth the trip up to Katoomba.

    I'd highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be back and I look forward to checking out the day spa.

    Wow what a fantastic place. the establishment is beautiful, the atmosphere is supurb, the staff are so friendly and attentative, the rooms are spacious, the spas are to die for, the view is grand, the food is mouth watering. we went there for a special weekend and left with memorys we will cherish forever.

    A simply stunning establishment that stands majestically on the hill in Katoomba Street. Renovations to the grounds have made an already appealing piece of history a much sought-after hotel for special occasions, weddings and the like. We spent a wonderful Mother's Day there, they do a charming high tea also. A friend held her wedding reception there recently and the backdrop the establishment offered for photography was second to none. This attractive hotel has always caught my eye and adds that certain something special to the feel of Katoomba.

    although i have not gone here myself, i witnessed my sister's reaction after a day here.. it was amazing!!. she explained that the product and atmosphere was sooo very relaxing, and the staff treated each customer with respect and worked with integrity. the prices were very reasonable and overall she recommended everyone to try this place.
