Have visited this establishment and other Coffee Clubs many times and have had no issues before. This particular Coffee Club was favoured because of the view. The food and prices are nothing to complain about. Recently went there again with visiting friends. All the food came out on time and I had a Gourmet chicken and avocado Turkish sandwich, which was of it's usual tasty quality. But this was soured by the service. One of the group ordered a crumbed fish (thinking it had a plain coating because of how the menu was written). This was not the case and when it came out it was that lemon and peeper coating, which would not have been ordered if the menu had not been ambiguous. A staff member promptly came out and agreed that the menu was unclear, but because they didn't write the menu they would not refund this meal. The entire table was embarrassed and angered since he did not discreetly inform us, but said it loud enough for the rest of the restaurant to hear and in no way tactfully. My mother ended up getting up to talk to him away from the other patrons maintaining her calm. He said he would take our feedback on board, but it was apparent he thought he had done the right thing coming to the table with his abrupt manner. (Should also mention that we had not seen this staff member before - there seems to be a regular turn over of staff). We were reluctant to pay, but did. Will not be having any more meals from this particular Coffee Club.
