Been twice now & excellent food & service. We love how unique the choice is & reasonably priced. Lovely location accross the road from Mowbray Park. Get take-away & eat in the park next to the river - lovely experience all round.

Although a little more expensive than your local fish and chip shop, the Fishmonger's wife has quite a large range of fish and seafood available for dine-in or takeaway. Take away is usually quick (under 15 min wait) however it can get busy on the weekends. Be sure to get some beer battered chips as well!

Always busy!!! But very worth the wait. You can phone your order through and collect it for take away. If you want to eat in there is a small, quaint area that can be quite noisy, or my preference is the outside tables. Not your normal fish and chips in newspaper either - you should give it a try! Oh, and they have great salads too!

Terryaki salmon with rice and salad is the healthy option to fish and chips and it is so delicious! This place is very cool and very tasty. Lovely staff and always so fresh. Chips are the best in Brisbane.

This understated venue boasts arguably the best fish and chips in town – if not the country. With seafood fresh from the trawlers, the cooks season and marinate it in a variety of flavours to create, for example, a grilled Moroccan barramundi or Tahitian lime coconut cream dory. The beer-battered chips have a strong following, while fresh salads complete the meal. Expect to pay about $24 for fish, chips and salad.

More than a fish and chippery, this is a funky 50-seat dine-in cafe with black leather booths, timber furniture and a rotating selection of local art. But what really sets it apart is the food, created by owner-chef Steve Meadowcroft.
