    I have been going to Life Balance in Glebe (they also have a city location) for about 2 years now. The Glebe centre used to be in a beautiful big hall on St Johns Rd. I found even just the atmosphere of the hall wonderfully relaxing with polished floor boards and gorgeous high ceilings. A few months ago they moved to premises across the other side of Glebe Point Rd. It is a shame that they had to make the move. At first I wasnt sure about the new location. The foyer area was quite nice but the yoga/pilates studio was carpeted with low ceilings. Since then they have stripped back the carpet and now have great polished floorboards and they have removed the false ceiling to reveal exposed beams and a large, open area the length of the room (I am clearly not construction oriented am sure someone could do a better job of explaining!). These changes, along with some nice lighting, have made a huge difference to the atmosphere. The instructors also seem to be settling into a better routine as the change of venue seemed to coincide with a lack of continuity of instructor. I am sure there are many of us who are still lamenting the loss of Dan (our Sunday morning favourite!) but Kathy is very good and combines a relaxing atmosphere with a challenging pilates workout. They offer flexi passes and a range of 6 week courses including yoga nidra. I am glad I stayed with them through the upheaval of moving. It is paying off!
